Thanks @AuntyRach.  You too.   I set up a low shelf set with a pilllow and put it next to the radiator in our kitchen for the pussies and Rasta doggy adopted it.   Booted shelf thingy out and spread the pillow across 2 chairs we only use when we have guests and Rasta doggy is still the main user tho we now have to lift her up when she asks.  Can't win.

Drismal most of today so h****work and admin done but I did manage to get out and take cuttings of Breathless Charm and Lady of the Lake roses before starting dinner.   We've changed the sheets and put on a light duvet.   Might be a bit warm tonight.

    Enjoy your evening everyone.

Just seen your post @Busy-Lizzie.  Hope it was a good surprise visit.   I don't mind dark evenings when we're all cosied up and it's mis outside but agree about light evenings when the weather's good.  Not always ready to stop playing outside.

Afternoon all. Not looking forward to the short evening light from now in.
Disappointing rugby result this morning 😪 - oh well, Six Nations is not too far away 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just rearranged some furniture now Summer is officially over. Swapped out an armchair for a second small sofa into ‘breakfast room’ so it will now be our hub and the main room to keep warm. We only really go in the lounge in the evening and if there is something we want to watch on the big tele. I’m hoping that the cats (or at least one of them) will settle down next to me, as the usual situation was one of them taking up the whole armchair and me sitting on the kitchen chair! (Yes they are spoiled and I am daft!).

Have a cosy evening all, particularly those who have been outside, at work or feeling under par (and everyone else anyway).

What is this breakfast room business?

They had nothing to be disgraced about @Dovefromabove the RSA are very strong, to be that close was an achievement in itself. Just one silly mistake😢

Evening all. I thought of you this morning when the result came in on the radio @AuntyRach   :/
Your new arrangements sound sensible. Could you stick a telly in the breakfast room too - save using the big room altogether?
That's a wee while to wait until you see hubby @Busy-Lizzie. You've been very busy again.
Are you feeling any better @Obelixx?

Not feeling much like having dinner. Scrambled eggs or similar.

Scrambled eggs are nice as long as they are not too wet

No Dove, haven’t put tv on yet, haven’t washed up either! Loads of it, roast chicken, stuffing, 4 veg, plus some plates from lunchtime. Really must get of my backside and do it.  Stuck into a book that was given free on kindle, supposed to tell the author if I liked it.

Love creamy soft scrambled eggs on buttered toast @Fairygirl
... and every spring I look forward to snipping the first chives into the pan with them. 😋

Meant to say - if anyone likes a bit of black humour, the new series Guilt is being shown on BBC2 - Wednesday 9pm. It started here the other night - it's very good. Mark Bonnar- so of course it is  ;)
