I've spent quite a bit of the day gardening. I was aching a bit yesterday but the sun came out today. I've finished the new bed, transplanted plants from the shady bed into it, including 2 pink phlox and a blue salvia that the nice couple next door gave me. They have a lovely garden, she used to work in a GC. I've planted the new hostas x 3, ferns x 3, heucherella and heuchera that I bought last week into the shady bed. Then I planted bags of bulbs all over both of them, daffodils, snowdrops, snowflakes, chionodoxa, species dwarf tulips, nectaroscordum and alliums.

OH went to the physio clinic, he has exercises to do then when the muscles have strengthened he will go to an orthopaedic place to see a surgeon about his hip. They may do injections, will possibly think about an op.

The washing didn't dry properly, leaving it out as it should be a fine day tomorrow.

Going to the pub for a pre dinner drink.

Sore, achy bits here all round, by the sound of it - whether from gardening or other activities.  ;)
I'm the same. This gardening lark is too much like hard work.  :D
Enjoy your evening @Busy-Lizzie. You've earned it.
Just a wee walk 'round the doors' @Obelixx. Had to take fairylet to an appointment, and it was early afternoon, so a 'proper' walk was out of the question. Perfect day for it, but that's the way it is. I even sat down and enjoyed it for a while  ;)
Shame about the car. Insurance companies can be notoriously slow, so I hope you don't have a long wait. I take it there aren't going to be any problems with it?

Good just to sit and soak it all in sometimes @Fairygirl.  No idea about how long it will all take as we're new to this sort of accident and also new to this process in France but as it's not our fault and our insurance is thru the bank it's up to the to pursue t'other chappies and get it done.

Your day sounds good @Busy-Lizzie.  I have bulbs to plant too but not many from new packets - yet.  They've been lurking in pots, on their own and with shrubs.  Should get some done soon but not tomorrow. I have to stay clean to go and see a man about a knee - mine, not Bonzo's.

Evening all. Not frosty but rather chilly this morning.

    Exciting times @chicky.
Pat for Bonzo- hope he is doing ok.
Pass round the tube of muscle-rub for all those who are aching!

I have passed my course and exam! Plus, I have been nominated to be an instructor on the course! I’m shattered now, after two 10 hour days learning, performing and being tested. Going to watch recorded Bake Off with a big pot of decaf and some cake (too tired for the gin I promised myself - I’d be asleep before the Show Stopper).

Well done @AuntyRach.  Huge pats for you too and glasses of fizz!

Bonzo is a bit dozy and a bit whiny - the vet warned us he may see "pink elephants" as it wore off and to expect whines.  I, meanwhile, am enjoying a glass of pink wine - Moroccan and very good too.
