Do you have to pay for your brown bin emptying @Fairygirl

No - part of our council tax @Lyn. Our water is included in that too, except if you have a private supply, and then you get a refund.
We have a collection every week,  all year round too. It's very good. We had a poor recycling system until about five years ago, but it's getting better all the time. I should think so too - the amount we pay  ;)
He seems to have a slightly hunched back @Dovefromabove. He can fly ok though, so he's getting about.
Or maybe he's using the buses....

That’s very good then, most people are having to pay for green waste collection. Worth it to some, but not for us.
Our water rate bill is so small we don’t even count in household expenditure.

We have a standard sort of system for water too Lyn, as opposed to metering etc. We're really quite lucky that way. I don't think the brown bin is universal over Scotland though. Each council region has it's own rules and regs - dependent on their recycling access and so on.
