@punkdoc we sold you Ken Hancock. a good goalkeeper, at the end of the 60s but you didn’t make the most of him ... for some reason Bill Nicholson preferred Pat JenningsĀ  :/ šŸ˜‰Ā
I remember being in a coffee bar with him and Ray Crawford when I was about 16 ... what do you mean you’re too young to remember? šŸ™„ 🤣

Pat Jennings, the greatest goal keeper who ever lived. Met him a few times at WHLane. Hands the size of dinner plates.

Ā and the oversized teeth are grand eh? Anything that makes people smile is good eh?

    IndeedĀ  :)
No funny handshakes here...enough of that nonsense in Glesga as it is... ;) Ā
I don't 'do' any of the reality shows, but I like Bake Off.Ā
I must admit it took me a little while to cotton on to COYS. Footie isn't my strong pointĀ  ;)

When I first joined the blog Dove was the only person who knew what COYS meant. A woman of many talents.

Just think @punkdoc.Ā  All the more for you given I'm probably not the only one who is, to put it mildly, not the least bit interested in football at any level in any country.

One of the first games I vaguely remember - I think it was against Utd at WHL - Jennings went up for a cross and plucked the ball out of the air with one hand and brought it down behind his back... Or maybe I dreamt that? Amazing keeper.
We all agree Jennings is better than Yashin
    Greaves is better than Eusebio
and (put whetever club here) are in for a thrashing

...and James Greaves...don't get me started on young James......
