Good luck, Liri, I hope it all goes well for you.

I hope Dove's garden party is being successful. I had a look at that acer thread, people have answered as I would. Of course new young trees need watering until established. I don't know about the wound, I've had the odd tree that just healed and carried on growing.

We've been to son's for lunch, BBQ.

I am very happy for you ladies to deal with wasp nests, too scary for me. Give me a good war zone any day.

But it's easy @punkdoc, you just have to leave them alone.

I've just found squillions of ants in a rose pot I had separated out this morning as being the next to try and plant in my rose and clem bed.  While getting some garlic fro dinner I'd decided to fetch it as it was sat on its own, loooking abandoned.   Had to give it a very good drink and tell it I'd be back tomorrow with long trousers, socks, long sleeves and gloves and boots.

    Hate being bitten by ants.

Good job you found it @Obelixx .....I lost one of my potted roses because ants nested in the pot and I didn’t notice.  I guess all their tunnels took the roots out of contact with the soil 🙁

Indeed @Chicky.  I gave every single pot a good soaking after it had come out after not setting the sprinkler for a couple of days so they'd be lighter to shift.   Didn't see any ants at that point but lots of snails have gone to snail heaven.

It'll be planted out tomorrow - after a good soaking in a bucket.   The ants are on notice.   Don't mind them in the grass so I hope they take the hint.

Morning Punk, sunny here, for a change.

Quite so Lyn. Again - whatever we're facing in our own lives, very few people have to deal with that. We should be grateful for all the good things we have - every day.
Anyway - morning all/afties Pat if you're checking in.
Stiil very brisk here, but a wee bit drier. Not sure how long that'll last.
Physio for me this morning so I'd better shift.

Oh dear, Punkdoc. No wonder you like to try to help them.

Ive had an interesting afternoon. 😂. I had a call from “Nicole from the Australian National Broadband” and also an offer to buy a business in the “British Virgin Islands” . I’m getting quite good at hanging up and proud of my swearing restraint. 😁😁

When we got home from shopping this afternoon, we had little white icy specks falling all around us. We rushed inside with the groceries and then it stopped.  The house needs a bit of warming though.
