Its a lovely morning here in Norfolk ... bright sunshine and a stiff breeze ... Iâll put some towels on the line ... that wouldâve scandalized the neighbours not so many years ago đOn the farm the washing line was at the back of the big âTâ shaped farmhouse which was surrounded by an old orchard, fields (and the moat) and couldnât be seen by anyone ... Ma was a Methodist but she was also very pragmatic ... if God sent her a good drying day on a Sunday who was she to refuse to use it ? ... after all, it wasnât her doing the work ... it was the wind đÂ

Morning, this is just grim isnât it. Â We are near the top of a hill but all those idiots who tarmac their driveways really ought to stop and think of where the water goes. In our case itâs our orchard the suffer if there is any consolation itâs that I canât go out and do anything. Not allowed my happy pills (which I had just started so felt no benefit........Yet)
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.â A A Milne
Good morning. We have wet bits bit it's a swizz. Yesterday they reckoned on a good 24mm downpour this afternoon. Today it's a muted 4mm drizzle for a few hours.  Humph!
Sorry you're feeling crook still @Lily Pilly but it's going to take time.  I thought there were rules now about using porous paving for drives and so on, at least for new ones, but I guess everyone just assumes the run off goes down drains........Â
@Lyn - maybe by the time the jute degrades the wisteria will have "wooded" up and will hold itself.   Ours does.
Dove - I wonder how many people are âleftâ who donât do chores and washing on a Sunday? The tradition of the Sunday Roast/family meal can stay though - thank you MIL! Rain or shine (or 30 degree heat) - there will always be a cooked dinner there!Â
I've just put in a wash. Not exactly hard labour.  Roast shoulder of lamb for dinner tonight cos Possum likes the tradition and there'd be uproar if I didn't roast something.
We lost a big bough of an oak tree - currently marooned in the middle of the meadow. Â Made one h@#l of a noise when it came down - sounded like a train had crashed next door. Â Spent most of yesterday cowering inside. Â Better venture out and assess the damage now đ
Itâll be good for the beetles @chicky . Mustâve been a bit scary at the time tho ((hugs)) A big dish of moussaka has been made while I was catching up with the Archers ...Â

Yes, Obelixx, we have stolen your rain, lots of it.
Shame I couldn't see Dove's photos on the Gallery, they just came out as big blocks of colour. My Internet has improved and I could see everyone else's, just spent some time there catching up.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Have a lovley Sunday all, whatever you are up too. Catch you later.Â
Have just checked the rain radar map and there's loads of it skipping past just to the south of us.  Looks wet for @Busy-Lizziehttps://www.meteo60.fr/radars-precipitations-pluie-france.phpÂ
