    Evening.
That made me smile @punkdoc and @Fairygirl, as I used to sing along to that in the car with my Dad. Funny story: my Dad had his car broken into once. They stole his CDs from the glove box. They left the Steely Dan one though. We still laugh about that!

Similar story when a mate had his flat burgled.  Record player nicked but not before they took off the record on it and threw it aside - Michael Moorcock and the Deep Fix (Hawkwind in disguise).

How very bl**dy dare they @AuntyRach;)
The Dan were superb, lyrically and musically. Way ahead of their time and quite unique. I was a big fan, and still am. My daughter laughed when I told her what a Steely Dan is too  :D
I have a similar story to yours - my hubby once bought a CD based on hearing one song, which turned out to be the only decent thing on it. Can't remember who it was. We got broken into - and they nicked every CD we had [quite a considerable collection between the 2 of us] but left that one on the settee. Hubby had to admit it had been a poor choice on his part!
Hope you're ok @Allotment Boy. Did you have any weather damage yourself? We're still trying to dry out up here  :)

    Some folks have no style🥴

OH and I have spent the day in the garden doing a mahoosive ‘session’ as on Sunday we are hosting a ‘Garden Picnic’ for a bunch of foodie friends from across the country 🤭
mowing, edging, deadheading, cutting back, potting on, weeding, mulching, editing and rearranging ... and  watering even the dry bits on the Shady Bank and in the Wilderness that are supposed to manage without watering ... as if ... in this garden ... with a huge ash tree and shallow sandy loam on chalk 🙄

As is usual I managed to damage  myself ... nearly becoming impaled on a tomato cane ... OH administered plasters ... and I also managed to get a fennel seed in my eye ... only I could manage that 🤕
We have another day at it tomorrow ... will I survive?🤣

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

@Fairygirl, every day is a school day, I didn't know that until 5 minutes ago.

I have Can't Buy a Thrill on vinyl........

We've been good today.  Finished Possum's frock and cleaned house downstairs.  Have had to start watering the weeping willow which, suddenly, has several bare branches.  Brought it as a rooted shoot from our Belgian neighbours' tree, lanted it out at the end of the pond once that was cleared but it has suffered from 2 lots of 44C heatwaves this year and a distinct lack of rain.  Hope we can save it.

****'s sake @Dovefromabove. I think we'll book you into the old folks' home. You're not safe to be out on your own!  :D
I can gladly send you a load of water to save you getting the hose out. I went out earlier to finish painting a bit of timber, and the wheelbarrow, parked below the big conifer, was half full. That's just from yesterday.  :/
Fingers crossed it stays fine for the weekend for you though.
I think my tomatoes may eventually ripen in time for Ch****mas.  :|
