@Hostafan1 - will it be easier to go in a few weeks rather than now? There will be lots of people at the funeral and lots keeping your friend busy - it's the long quiet days that follow which can be worse. So if now is too difficult, go soon and fix a date as soon as you can.
That's a really nice idea @raisingirl ... I think it's something I'd appreciate if I were in that awful situation..

I’m drenched! 🌧 I went for a drive down to the Waveney valley with camera and sketchbooks etc ... the colours in the brilliant sunshine between the rain clouds were fantastic ... the rape fields in bloom and the barley on ear.
I made the mistake of coming back via the GC for compost ... the heavens opened 💧💧💧and by the time I’d loaded three bags of compost and three large pots of Dalmatian Cream foxgloves (how did they get there? 🤷‍♀️) I was soaked through ... I’ll just get a casserole in the oven then go and have a nice hot 🛀

No rain here today,  makes a change, think it’s in for tomorrow though.

This minute it’s torrential, I m loving it though as I’ve just planted up a newly made bed.

I'm really envious of folks going to Malvern. Had wanted to go with our GC on Sat but have a family wedding instead. GW tonight though will show bits of it.

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
Another beautiful golden sunrise 🌅 now it’s overcast and dry but apparently rain is on its way ... but after that it looks as if we have some sunny days ahead ... I should be able to get out there and wield my hoe in the direction of all the little weedlings that are appearing in the veg patch.

None of the forecast overnight rain appeared, but at least we have a glorious sunny morning.

I'm sure folk who use facebook get random " friends requests" . I've just had one from the guy who was my daughters' head teacher in primary school.
My girls have known his kids since then and have kept in touch with them as they've grown up, but I've not laid eyes on their Dad in over 20 years!!
