Good morning.   OH has disappeared early to play a golf match.  Senior SIL is up and looking for busy-ness.  BIL and junior SIL still in the land of nod.

Sunny but cool so far.   Hope it doesn't get too cold where you are.  I understand parts of Yorkshire are expecting frosts.

    Hi all.

Yes we are expecting frosts for the next few nights.
It's a right pain, because I have been desperately planting stuff out, before we go away, on the basis that things will do better outside, rather than in a greenhouse which will not be watered.
    Oh well, first world problems.

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
Slept like a log ... marvellous 😊 Now we’re listening to the Today Prog coming from just ‘over there’ ... I did consider going along when they said the other day that they would be broadcasting from the UEA ... (just listened to Sir Richard Dannatt who lives just across the marsh and was a customer at the farm shop) ... after all I’m usually awake very early ... but I’ve really enjoyed this lie-in so it’s just as well I didn’t set the alarm and toddle up the road in the early hours 😊
A bit of drizzle overnight ... overcast but bright and 11C ... looking across the rise bedroom windows are open in most homes ... looks like a fair day ahead. OH is at home today so a few odd jobs to be done ... take the old washbasin that’s been lingering in the garage to the tip ... that sort of thing ... but then there’s a new canvas to prime etc etc etc 😃

Morning all, afternoon Pat 😊 happy belated anniversary to Mr and Mrs Pdoc!! What a happy picture! 😀
Sending hugs to Lilyp, so sorry you have had to delay your trip but I'm sure it will need all your energy when you get there. Hoping you feel more like yourself in no time at all 😊 x

Haven't really had a chance to catch up so please excuse my ignorance on events!
Working hard here. Pond is now risky established and has tadpoles, Dragon fly lava and four newts...ok here go the newt names..
Olivia Newton John, Tandy Newton, Isaac Newton and Minute.. as in MY newt, which is what comes out when my husband gets possessive over ownership of newts and we end up in fits of laughter around the pond!!
Have a lovely day all! 😀

    Morning all.

Rain forecast for today so I'll be going into town to try to find inspiration for a birthday present for OH.  The older he gets, the more difficult it is to find something he really wants but doesn't have (but which is affordable)...  I more or less pass the polling station on the way to the bus stop, so will do my civic duty.  At least in the local elections I know some of the candidates, am not voting for a particular party (though I'll be excluding a few!), and B****t isn't really a local issue.

It'll be a relief to have a break from lugging stone around.  The retaining wall behind the houses officially belongs to the council, but they have more pressing calls on their finances than repairing the couple of feet which has degraded over the 170 years since it was first built.  Problem is, the spare stone is in the garden, 15 steps down over the road in front of the house.  To get to the work area, stone needs to be carried up the steps, through the front door, up 13 stairs and out of the back door... it's a good work-out, I suppose!

Lovely photo, @punkdoc.  Hope you and Moira have a great holiday, and the plants survive...

Back in, hurrah!  Somehow I log myself out sometimes.
we’re watching the bike race around Lierge. Feel very sorry for them in very wet freezing conditions.
