Glad your Dad has recovered, Chicky.

Ouch, Lily P, hope you had some anti-histamine cream.

As OH's family are staying we decided to go out for the day. We went to West Stow Saxon Village near Bury Saint Edmunds. Cold but sunny start this morning. Then the skies darkened and we had a howling gale and a hailstorm. We ran for shelter to the Saxon museum. After that the weather pretty much ruined the day. We decided to go to Bury as we would be able to shelter in shops, it was market day but the market was packing up early because of the wind, the cold and the rain. The children started whining so we went home.

Miserable weather here this morning. There’s a white mist moving up the valley from the south which I’m not sure is light rain 🌧 or snow. We’ve lit the fire for the first time this year. Here comes 🥶 winter. Hubby is feeling rotten this morning. Nothing tastes good and he didn’t sleep well last night. Too cold to go outside to sit in the sun (which is not visible).

Sorry to hear that hubby not so great today. I guess there will be some better than others. Would he take liquids? Thinking a thin soup?
i am wide awake and sore. Sometimes I get so frustrated but I have little to complain about. Stay warm our fire is hardly off and it’s May
We are coming out Nov for a month. Something to look forward to! Have you got a reward when all the chemo is over that you can look forward to?

Haven’t thought of that yet LilyP, but a good idea. We can think about it.😁

Im sorry that you’re sore. I must have missed your post about your situation. The last I remember was your eyes. Sorry. Best wishes to you. Glad the dog is getting better.
The chicken sou I made him 2 days ago was a thin one. He enjoyed it.

    Morning all.
Glorious cloud free sky and not a breath of wind. However the frost on top of the car is a bit scary.

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
Hope LilyP got some restful sleep and Mr & Mrs @Pat E find themselves a treat to look forward to and make the days pass quicker.

Frost!? @Hostafan1 😱. I opened the bedroom blinds this morning to see a rainbow 🌈 in the west ... now there are black clouds and bright sunshine and the white gulls are lit up and look amazing as they’re circling above the rise.

OH is working a long day again today as they still don’t have a manager ... when he gets back we’ll have sticky chicken with sherry, almonds and dates.
It’s very yummy 😋  ... I’ve not cooked it for years and years ... I used to have a catering business and it was very popular for business lunches ... something reminded me of it the other day so I’m doing it again. I’ll do enough for two days as it’s delicious cold with a salad too.

@Dovefromabove, remind lovely OH that he's not alone. I'm working 8 - 8 today, hopefully out on the road for most of it.

I’ll do that @Hostafan1 😊 ... his day isn’t quite as long as yours as he’ll finish at 6 ... but it’s been a long week ... he’s doing a lot more than his usual hours at the moment. Hey ho ... its a job ...😉

My plan is to work the summer months then drop my 7.30 - 2.30 Thursday shift ( when it's cold and dark and wet at 7.30 ) and just work the 12 hour Sunday shift.
