We now have slightly heavier drizzle ... still
waiting for the proper stuff ... maybe @islander can bring some of that ‘soft Oirish rain’ with her when she pops in for tea, cake and knitting this afternoon 😉

Good morning.   Blowy here again and very cloudy with occasional streaks of sun.  The rellies leave after an early lunch and have all gone out for a last walk with the dogs leaving me free to play in the kitchen.

feeling wiped out as Bonzo dog did a disappearing acta t bedtime so OH and I were out there with torches and overcoats looking for over an hour till he decided to crawl out of his hiding place.  No idea what spooked him but he'd been fussing for an hour or more before bedtime so clearly heard something that worried him.   Anyway, OH then snored.

He's away tonight too so I can catch up.

The garden is looking better for some rain and will get more today and tomorrow.  Fine by me as I have plenty of indoor jobs to do but no cake.   They'll finish the chocolate cherry brownies at lunchtime and then I can just eat veggies for a couple of days.

Enjoy your trips to Malvern and garden talks and the knitting and whatever you're doing.  Should be getting warmer by Sunday which will be really good.  Needed ski socks yesterday!

    Morning all.

Raining and windy. Funny how different the weather can be here. We were in a town 10 mins away yesterday and it tipped with rain. Here it was dry and the washing dried.

We are going to lunch with friends.

I wonder if it's elevation? Lyn and I are both quite high up, I think. Are you nearer sea level, Hosta?
I believe we're at 750 ft above sea level, I think @Lyn is 200ft higher.
This is the result of the "heavy and sustained rain" forecast for last night.

and I bet @Lyn is too.
Absolutely, it rained from yesterday evening right through the night and heavy showers still going on now,  had to do some GH work, dodged the showers then got wet running back indoors.

It’s amazing that Hosta and I live about 10 miles apart, as the crow flys, bit more by road through the country lanes, but we gets loads, he hardly gets any, I think because we live close to the Moor and very high  that the clouds just form over us and drop their lot.

I think you're right. They scoot past us and hit Dartmoor  and think " sod this , we'll just dump it all here"

Do you think that’s where all the rubbish around my garden comes from as well?
