So sorry you were disappointed @Purplerain but maybe you weren't meant to have them. Think of the money you have saved and what other plants you can now buy... I noticed some for sale locally but no price showing so didn't bother to ask.
@Purplerain, as a money saving expert, l say "Go back to Homebase and come out with 2 box balls".
@Fran IOM, bit of bargain hunting there and no mistake. They did have owls, but strangely enough none of them looked like the one l have , that was bought so very recently
@Valley Gardener love that pot and the dragon. I remember driving through Blaenau Ffestiniog (think l spelt it correctly), on a wet grey day many years ago with the slate heaps looming above us.
Hope @nultyphilip224 is having good weather, this is a bit of a shock to the system to be honest! Back to the garden now.....
@AnniD aww, will he get a second sitting? Thanks for your enthusiasm about the box balls. I would have taken your advice, if they hadn't Sold Out 😡.
I managed to get a lot done today, but every time I go out my nose streams and I keep sneezing. This is also happening to Charlie Cat and we have never had hay fever. His brother sneezes all the time, so he doesn't count. Are any of you struggling?
It turned into a glorious day and I got my SGC haul planted out. Hope you all had a good one. Enjoy your evening.
Spotted a tiny frog today, so far Jackdaws have had no luck,I threw some bits of bread down for them in the lane on my way to the post box,on the way back a flock of sparrows were tucking in. You can't win,No sign of the black rabbit.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Never fear, Hedgehog got his food. When the first one left around 10.20pm l went and put some more out.l could hear "someone" crashing about and l could swear l heard muttering and grumbling! No way could l go to bed knowing that there was no food out there....."Soft touch" 🙄
@Purplerain touch wood, hayfever isn't something l suffer from, but l see the count is going up over the next couple of days. @Fran IOM yes, l should imagine there was such high demand for the owls that they have been replaced by inferior models. @Valley Gardener l was wondering about the black rabbit, very strange. Hopefully he got home safely. Have a good evening everyone
I was in the garden today and sudden;y realised i had not replied to your question about the Oxalis debilis,..also named ''Pink Wood Sorrel',..i used to have lots of it in the back garden but through the years i gave away so much that i only have one container of it in the back garden and a couple of mounds of in in the front garden,..i must start it off again,..its really a Tropical plant,..that is Tropical America,..Florida area,..an edible plant,..the leaves have a Lemon taste,..the roots are also edible though they are small bulbs,..mine flowers from Spring right up to Autumn,..the secret is just to keep the soil moist,..most of the time,..in between a dry spell.
Ah so you liked the link to Newgrange ,..its interesting however i won't send you more reading lol.
Great picture of your Hedgehog leaving the scene after finding the Restaurant booked out,..he really looks disappointed.
You mentioned Hedgehog thrashing through your plants,..i forgot they could do just that if chased by another Hedgehog,..i was blaming Foxy Molly or ''Whisper'' for thrashing through my Lupins breaking two of them,..now i have three suspects in mind.
''Whisper'',..agog at Little B posing on the roof.
Did i say Posing?,..couldn't figure out the movements.

Hedgehog had to come back later, the restaurant was fully booked...
I think they must have sold out of your owls and the new lot aren't quite the same.
