I thought Anni would be a tad offended by the interpretation of her greenhouse, it was meant to be a bit Beatrix Potter,I love those illustrations, just a bit wonky and haphazard! An amusing little poem might be nice??
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Ah now, a poem l can probably do. I will set myself some homework and try and have something by the end of the weekend 🤞 If Beatrix Potter was still around she'd have to look to her laurels !
@Valley Gardener Can't stop admiring your painting! It is perfect. What a talent. Noticed the greenhouse straightaway. Had to get a magnifying glass to read the writing. There is every detail in there. @AnniD You could just write one story for those hard paged books that little ones can't tear and then they would want more....
I've done the first draft and am quite pleased with it - it's like being back at school ! I will re read it again tomorrow when l have time, and see how l feel..... Bit late, but hope everyone had a good day !
Today wasn't so good,..cloudy with a strong breeze and promising rain,..the latter kept away.
First i must say your painting of Hedgehog and Mouse in the company of Mr B is fantastic,..we have lived with all three of them for some time now and are familiar with their antics,..to see them all together in the garden of @AnniD ,..whose antics we also know ,..is a surprise and makes one smile,..well done @Valley Gardener .
Sorry to read of the damage done to your flowers,..do you often get that bad weather?,..how to have wind resistant plants?,..i suppose low growing ones would come under that category.
Moss grows in the garden for the best part of the year seeing we have enough rain,..during the very warm weather i have to remember to water mist the Moss also the plants in among the rocks,..Sedum,..Campanula,..and Sweet Alyssum,..however there is always Moss to be found around here so its just a matter of taking home a few nice plate size pieces and placing them on the rocks,..Yogurt is great to spread on a rock before adding the Moss.
Everyone has their own idea of how their garden should look,..at present mine is exactly what i wanted,..enveloping best describes it.
Ah the music i used up to last Month had a lot of Classics,..alas the EEC Rules changed all that,..now i must look for Royalty Free Music,..when found it may not be to my best taste but if its half way easy on the ears i have to use it,..the first two videos made this year had to have a Licence purchased for each,..cost for the Standard Licence is £34.
I am very much into Classics,..Griegs ''Last Spring'' certainly is a beauty and very fitting for your parents funeral,..sorry to know they died together,..Debussy ''Girl With The Flaxen Hair'',..''Clare De lune'' the latter would really appeal to me,..of course Violin Concertos of most kinds i like,..i must do a good search to see is there any Classical Music on offer that is Royalty Free.
The white flowers are Antirrhinum majus,..growing behind the wall so some will cascade over the side.
I know that feeling of needing a tonic,..the driving and seeing OH off on his Hospital visit,..then another Laser Treatment,..not forgetting the weather certainly requires a tonic,..hoping you had a better day today.
Cold enough here at night,..though its early morning on Thursday now.
Sticking to purples,..blues,..whites and pink,..plenty of colour there,..mentioning pinks i wonder do you or anyone else grow Musk Mallow,..these flower every year and need no attention,..seen here in July last year,..i have four lots of this growing.
I decided to plant the Ox eye Daisy in the front garden though seeds could well get into the back garden.
Lol at describing my garden,..its a problem trying to say something NEW about a garden you are looking at for the second year,..i would find it very difficult,..a nod and a wink would suffice,..or just mention a flower,..that keeps me satisfied,..same with the Video,
I wonder what that plant is?,..the one supposed to be a Snapdragon,..they come in different sizes so keep your eye on it.
Sorted out the links on the computer and laptops though the latter are easy,..one is connected to the Internet the other picks up the signal from the Sitting Room without any connection.
So you had no rain yesterday,..that's a relief,..or a reprieve lol,..ah for the days of sunshine with no thought of rain.
The young Blackbird doesn't arrive for food too early in the mornings,..though getting brave each day.
Sedum 'Dragons Blood'
Sedum 'Green Ice',..just a sign of its white blooms on top right.
Good morning everyone Guess what - it's raining again. One of my first jobs will be to empty out the plant trays again 🙄. I can see those marigolds rotting before l ever get them in the ground.
@nultyphilip224 l think you are right as always. The stress of the day before, even though l wasn't aware of it, was obviously playing on my mind. That lovely photo of the centre of the shuttlecock fern is strangely soothing . I used to grow mallow rosea, it was a lovely shrub and flowered for ages. A very "sugary pink"'. Sadly it just got too big in the end so l took it out. Your Baby B has a definite air of Mr B about him (?). The "l have the human well trained" expression that l know only too well ! I do hope that he is savvy enough to be aware of Whisper.
@Valley Gardener@Fran IOM you will be pleased to know that l seem to have spent most of the night dreaming up short stories of Mr B and co. Whether l can remember them in the light of day is another matter ! (And l am not keeping a notebook by the bed so that I can write them down at 3am !)
@Purplerain hope you enjoyed your hostess duties last night and had a good time.
Right, the usual busy Thursday awaits - and l must empty those trays !

Beatrice Potter couldn't have illustrated Anni's gang any better VG. Well done.
