It stopped raining about an hour ago,so went out,and the spikey leafed flower is this! I don't remember anything about it,and I should as it's lovely!! About six altogether but others not appearing yet.
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
Good morning all It's raining again, as Supertramp once sang. I have decided the tomatoes are coming out of the greenhouse and l'm hanging them up. At least that way l can get in through the door ! I will have another look at the picture this morning and see if l can copy it. Poor @nultyphilip224, he gave me all that advice and then l thought "Oh, l can take a photo myself". Only excuse is that l was half asleep, it had been a busy day..... My beautiful Foxy Molly on a path strewn with rose petals, as befits the Queen of the Garden ! Little B is getting bolder by the day it seems, good to know his parent is keeping an eye on him. My manners have deserted me @nultyphilip224, l forgot to thank you for your kind remarks re: the poem, it was made easier to write by the inspiration of @Valley Gardener 's work.
Right, it's definitely a second cup of tea morning, and see what the day brings. @Fran IOM and @Purplerain@Valley Gardener , hope your weather isn't too bad. Everything here is so soggy, even Mr B isn't looking quite so suave. Laters x
Good morning all. The sun is shining here and we could do with some rain so I will be out with the hose later. It's strange how the weather is so different in places. I hope you get a break from the rain soon.
I would have preferred if @AnniD or @Valley Gardener could have put up the painting and poem but I couldn't figure out how to do that. I was actually watching Killing Eve and suddenly, it worked, so posted it before it vanished. Maybe one of you could bump it up and take credit by quoting it.
@nultyphilip224 I almost feel as if I could bend down and pat Foxy Molly as her images are so clear. She has become famous on our thread I am very fond of her. I am itching to get on with some seed sowing as I need more lettuce and radish so I will make a start and wish you all a lovely, if soggy day.
Good Morning all. A lovely sunny one at the moment. What a lot of work has been going on since I last posted. Went straight to the Tarw thread and there's the masterpiece! Well done @Purplerain! I will print it off and save it. Managed time at the allotment yesterday and surprise surprise there wasn't an awful lot I could do. Will have to wait until the grass grows and then my work will be cut out. Just hope the seed takes soon as the wood pigeons were taking their pick and even a seagull came down to join in but soon got told where to go. Still got the outside plot to attack but keep putting it off. Choked with weeds but funnily enough all the shrubs seem to be thriving. @Valley Gardener You were up early this morning! And going out in the garden to take photos. Strange how plants come up which you have no recollection of planting. I have a few like that and don't even know the names of them. Do you use a camera or your phone? Mystifies me as to how you get them on the forum. Have a lot to learn. Hope Cush is dry and warm now. @nultyphilip224 Don't know if you saw my post to you yesterday morning as I actually posted twice. I have two hydrangeas starting to flower. One is going to be pink and the other blue. Will the blue one turn to pink? Thought you had to have a certain type of soil to have a blue one. Excuse my ignorance. Can't think of a new word to describe your photos but you should know by now our opinion of them. @AnniD Bet you are glad your "picture and poem" are now looking good on the Tarw thread. Still think they are both a work of art. @Purplerain Wondered where you were until a message came up to say you had posted so got your post up now. Well done on your efforts. Don't know how you did it. Enjoy your seed sowing. You are wanting rain and we have had enough of late.
@nultyphilip224 That's a lovely clem,I do love them, only my Daniel Deronda and Arabella are flowering, but several along the wall all in bud. Foxy Molly is a happy little soul, she has such a smiley face, also fantastic baby blackbird pics.
@Purplerain I felt you mustve been joking about the hose! We have been getting torrents! Good girl planting salad seeds,I should do some too,as I love radish!
@FranIOM your grass must be growing a treat now, soon be time to use the mower,I don't expect you'll have a chance to plant the Sedum in this weather? (Mattress protectors have been hanging on the airer for two days, blankets get dry cleaned) wish I'd left well alone now. My Kindle 10 is unbelievably simple for pics, and I'm a dunce.
@AnniD hope you've moved your toms successfully from the GH, that tee shirt made me laugh.......I remember being at an airport once and this hugely pregnant woman sat by us.......her tee shirt said....... "It started with a kiss" I always think of her when I hear Hot Chocolate!
Not much done out there today as everything is sodden, even the poor bees,I pulled up the wild strawberries as the runners were doing my head in,I thought my grand daughter would be fascinated by the miniature strawberries, but can't be bothered now! We've had to restake the eucalyptus,as the wind almost took it,much higher stake now. I sat on the bench to survey the scene, and watch the birds for a few minutes, and got a wet behind! Can it get any worse........off to the Art room!

Got back from shopping to find Mr B chuntering outside. I explained that l had been to buy more mealworms and apologised for the late arrival of breakfast (again). Realised that his offspring was sitting on the pergola waiting to be fed. He fed it twice and then flew away, as if to say "Right, l've shown you what to do, now it's up to you", only to be followed by his offspring in hot pursuit! The sun came out literally for one minute only for it to rain again. Tomatoes are going out this pm 🤞, hopefully l can reach the brackets!
Sorry i missed one of your posts,..too much traffic on the Thread,..i went back to the last Post you made not realising there was one before that,..i am looking at the post you made first,..the one i missed.
Great to see you may have found that Antirrhinums '' majus Chantilly Bronze'',..may be one of yours,..they are a spectacular plant for a great variety of colours.
I would suggest potting Sedum ''Dragons Blood'' in a nice flattish container to show it off,..then as it matures you can take pieces from it and plant some out in the garden.
About the side cuttings on the Foxgloves,..they would bloom if left on the plant and of course they are growths along the stem of the main plant,..they are easy to start and i hope yours do well for you,..its a great way to start a Foxglove whose colour you like,..however they do cross breed and cuttings may not be exactly like the parent plant,..but you will have something similar,..even if its not a look alike.
About your Hydrangeas,..so one is going to be Pink the other Blue,..most gardens grow Pink Mopheads,..if you have Iron or Aluminium in the soil you will have Blue Hydrangeas,..chances are where ever you got your one that is going to be Blue had Iron or Aluminium in their soil,..or it was added to turn them Blue,..chances are you won't have the ingredients in your garden to turn them Blue so in time with watering your Blue will turn back to Pink,..unless you want it to remain Blue,..then add a Tablespoon or two of Hydrangea Colourant,..it will gradually be washed away through watering and rain,..and your Blue if not given Iron or Aluminium will fade to a Mauve then gradually back to Pink,..nothing to do with your Hydrangea but if you wanted a Red Hydrangea you add Calcium hydroxide.

That blue flower you have looks to be an Iris,..very similar to one that @Purplerain has which was posted in this Thread not long ago.
The little B was here this morning,..though it turns up late,..a mature Blackbird has started to now turn up for feeding but its very jumpy,..which is wise for a ground feeder,..both never appear at the same feeding time.
That Clematis 'Dorothy Walton' produces a saucer size bloom which is stunning,..it was a gift given some years back,..its growing in the middle of the garden as i have a Clematis 'Freckles' taking up the only ideal wall,..i am sure you are please with your Daniel Deronda and Arabella ,..you have more i think?.
Sorry again about the rain and wind damage,..not forgetting the wet behind lol.

Good morning all, still very wet here,Cush had to be wrapped in a towel and rubbed dry,he's a good boy,and didn't mind a bit.
Will chat later.
