  • @Purplerain,

Glad to read you have recovered from the small visitor,..i bet you love having him there but they have so much energy for things you never think about and it wears one down lol.

Oh i thought that Bed Cover was a beauty,..its an heirloom of course and in America they are in big demand,..such a change from the mass produced stuff,..i can imagine all the hours put into its making,..incredible work.

You wouldn't know now that there are two Troughs one atop the other for the Hardy Geraniums,..the little bit of sun helped more blooms to open but still a long way to go.

Some of the ''Clivia'' blooms fell off today,..so you can see the actual size of the bloom below.

  • @AnniD,

Hoping you are feeling better today and you get most if not all of what you have planned for today.

Its 11.30,..i would like to go for a walk now.

Sorry i have too much to do.

    I thought i came first?

    This is more like it,..yipeeeee!

  • @AnniD,..thanks for looking at the video,..lol you spotted Foxy Molly,..i just knew you would so i left that image in.

@Purplerain,..you spotted your Heucherella 'Sweet Tea',..thanks for viewing.

@Fran IOM,..yes the garden is filling in rapidly,..i always imagine it won't happen each year when i see all the paths in Spring,..the Robin and ''Whisper'' clash lol,..thanks for viewing.

@Valley Gardener,..so you didn't spot Foxy Molly?,..one wouldn't be expecting to see her and its only visible for 5 seconds,..glad you enjoyed the video,..thanks.

    Good morning all  :)
@nultyphilip224, l am feeling much better thank you. l laughed at Foxy Molly's various expressions,  they obviously did the trick and she got her walk after all !
I wasn't going to comment that the bench needs painting, honest  o:) .l hadn't realised that walking through the woods could be so risky, obviously branches do come down but l always assumed that was in the winter for some reason.
@Valley Gardener , you are around early, have you got more work planned for today ?
Mr B has tried chuntering, then singing, now chuntering again in the hope of breakfast. I must soak some more mealworms for him, the robin and the spuggies. I managed to get down to the compost bins yesterday but couldn't see any sign of a young blackbird.
Wishing everyone a good day, whatever you are up to. x

@AnniD.   Up at ten to six!!   Starting to get on top of my game now, with the help of a course of multivitamins!
The forecast here is for heavy rain later,so any jobs outside will need to be done early,it's beautifully sunny now,so must make the most of it!

Whatever time do the blackbirds arrive? Sounds like a crack of dawn job?😁

@Valley Gardener Feels like it ! Not as early as it was a few weeks ago,  but l still haven't got downstairs and he's on the neighbour's roof, looking at me (or maybe l'm just paranoid😁). I really must go and soak those mealworms!

Good morning everyone. I can't believe the time! I must have needed a longer lie in than I thought but up and about now. Weather wise, it's dismal wet and windy and there are two cats looking outside but not wanting to go.

@nultyphilip224 despite the weather, your garden is looking great, and the photos of Foxy Molly are so funny and expressive. I am glad she got her walk in the end. Thanks for reminding me about the Heuchera Sweet Tea as it saved me trawling back to find it. I am going to find one for myself and plant it in a turquoise pot like yours. At the moment I have an Acer in the pot I want, but as it is getting repotted in September that will free it up. I must take a photo of that Acer as it looks lovely this year and post it here. Do you grow them? I can't remember.

Anyway, I feel guilty about the time so I am going to get on with things and catch up. Have a good day everyone.

    Good Morning all.
Like the middle of winter so far today but not so cold. Windy and pouring with rain. This afternoon is supposed to be brighter but we shall have to wait and see. Feel sorry for all the bikers over for the TT races especially those in tents. Because of the mist not much has happened yet.
I always seem to be the last to post in the morning but like to get most things sorted before I think of sitting down.
@Purplerain   I have recently started saving the draft as someone suggested as it often disappears if you scroll back to read posts. I actually saved the draft but as I wasn't connected to the internet it didn't save. Should have realised something was amiss when the names didn't come up when I typed them in. If I hadn't printed it off I don' think you would have heard from me yesterday! Sounds as though you have the same weather as here.
@AnniD  Good to hear you are now migraine free. Sounds as though you know exactly how to treat it. Don't know what my daughter takes when she gets the warning signs.
I was just reading on a RSPB email that blackbirds are becoming very friendly with humans and could possibly mimic us so you will have to be careful or else Mr B will be answering you back!
@Valley Gardener. Loved the photos of your garden on the other thread. It's hard to believe that you hadn't drawn out a plan before you started as it looks so organised. Your artistic talent certainly shows. Love your statues especially the frog and of course my hare. Are they heavy? Is that white flower Silene Maritima?  I planted some last year and am very pleased with the results. I planted them as ground cover under the silver birch. I thought there was one thing missing but eventually spotted it - the shed! My lavender has gone mad as well so looking forward to the flowers. I only spotted one bee yesterday on the Echium which is quite worrying as I thought the fuchsia would be covered in them by now. Did notice that Tarw had a crocheted blanket. Hope he recovers well.
@nultyphilip224. When I am disconnected from the internet I usually only have to click on it at the top of the screen but didn't think to look. I always think it is something I have done wrong. We know that painting the garden seat was on your "to do" list. Trust a certain person to mention it! I am sure you will enjoy the Cat Only Forum. Also Tarw.
I know what you mean when it comes to doing something like cutting claws. When the cat last went to the vet I asked if they could do his but after his behaviour even they didn't attempt it! Foxy Molly doesn't have to be able to talk her expressions says it all. Maybe Whisper likes the fresh air even when its wet. Hard to believe that you show us the same parts of your garden but each time they look completely different.
@islander Hope all is well with you and the weather has improved.

    Have a good day all.

@Fran IOM. I have Silene Maritima, also planted under the eucalyptus gunii, and very pleased with the cover it's giving. But I think the one in the pic is the Snow in Summer, with a silvery grey leaf.
Yes the frog is pretty ancient and very heavy,I use his head a lot to keep my balance, the hare not nearly as heavy as he's being moved occasionally.......but still faces the moon! I found a nice miniature megalith so he goes nicely with all things pagan!!
