My RHS magazine arrived on Saturday - in a paper envelope :)

Morning all. It was pretty windy here yesterday, combined with some rain which made it unpleasant to be out school trouser shopping. But it wasn't scary wind - about 40mph if the weather sites were correct.

Really busy weekend. My weeks and weekends have gradually reversed so weekends are packed and frantic and then I get time to myself during the week. Made our favourite pie last night - spiced lamb - good comfort food for wet & windy weather. Well I say I made it, I only made the filling and assembled it. The pastry was shop bought because I find making it stressful!

Hope no one finds any more Freya damage today. Enjoy your crafty day, Obxx. And take care, Chicky - transatlantic travel would be no fun with a sore back.

It's been calmer here this pm and turned out sunny.  After a disturbed night I felt too tired to go to mosaic so am home and have sausages and peppers, onions and tomatoes baking in the oven.   Need a nice quiet evening.

Lunch out tomorrow at the restaurant run by the catering school part of a lycée in La Roche so the students can practise their cooking, waiting and sommelier skills.   Tomorrow includes practising their English.

It’s only been 4c today so very cold. Wind’s dropped though.

I've had my waders on and been in the lake. Pretty chilly it was too.
