Re knitting needles ... I didn’t have any 14” 4mm(old size 8) or 4.5mm (7). Ive sent some shorter ones and a long pair of the 6mm ones .... so if you have any 14” 4 and 4.5 mm needles they’re what @islander needs.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Mud pies and chocolate cake, what more does a girl need. ?
and a nap as well, fidget! Hope you've had a smashing day, Liri. Just the 21 candles then, eh? Lovely photo, islander. One of my ex colleagues was a very good knitter. We all used to marvel at the photos of her creations. She used to do Arans as well I'm hopeless - could manage a scarf It cleared up here this morning too, and even some sun later, as forecast. The brisk breeze helped dry the washing a good bit too. Glad you didn't get drookit, Hosta. Got a wee walk in, and a few other bits and pieces - shelves and pictures put up etc. Good drive with daughter, gritters are out in readiness for the frost later.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just back from MIL’s - she helped me sew my new blinds. We covered the old fabric blinds in a nice soft grey material - fairly easy. Total bargain as been quoted £££s for new ones.
Sleepy here but OH isn't back from work yet so we haven't had dinner. It's been very windy today. I thought I'd take advantage of being able to get a load of king-sized bedding dry without having to manhandle it onto the Sheila Maid. It did indeed dry, but I was forever running out to reattach it to the line before it blew away completely! Broke several clothes pegs.
Brought all my seeds in from the shed to sort and plan. Exciting!

Watching Crufts now.
You're right, Fidget & Fairy. Mud, chocolate cake and a nap - recipe for a perfect birthday...
Going upstairs now to look at my knitting needle collection.
FG - well done. I'm a long way off shelves and pictures!
