punk, how is Moira doing.? Hope yu getting holidays planned
havent been in touch for a while. I seemed to lose my seat as CEOof the family But thinks are calming down now. My lovely doctors told me what to say to the family some took it better than others as expected. However they all seem to be coming for easter which makes me think they havent taken a thing onboard hotel is still open but it may have lost its 5 star rating and a bit if pulling together required. My lovely doc says I have given to much this time. The dizziness is stress (whatever that is ) I have shocking balance and am allover the shop Talla is still crate bound and I haven’t realky been outsince before Christmas so becoming a bit isolated i don’t like taking pills but I have been dared not to everyone is watching me which. makesit worse..

Lilyp, I've been absent myself so an totally out of the loop. Stress is horribly debilitating and I hope your getting all the help and advice you need and want. Sending you an air of calmness and a hug 😊
@Lily Pilly ((hugs)) bless you ... I’ve been told quite firmly that it is no longer my job to solve everyone else’s problem ... the rest of the family will lean on each other when needed ... so I’m having to learn not to stress about them too ... so I know a bit of how you’re feeling ((hugs)) but we have to look after ourselves or we’ll be giving family even more worries themselves. I suppose it’s still early days for Talla ... she should be more mobile by the time spring is properly here and then you’ll both be able yo get out there in the sunshine together 🌷

Morning all/afties, evening Pat. Sorry you're feeling so rubbish LP. Stress is horrible, whatever the reason. Let others do whatever needs done. If they don't like - tough. You need to look after yourself. If they're all rocking up for Easter, let them know they'll have to live on their chocolate eggs and cups of tea. Snowing quite hard here now, and none too warm. More painting in the very purple bedroom for me today. Birds are hungry, and Mr Blackie was in early while I watched him from the warmth of the house. He's a very handsome little bird. Betty has chosen wisely
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
What wild night it's been , the worst in a long time. grrrr
same here. Woken at 5.30 by stuff banging around outside.
LP - I realise that feeling you are the 'mater familias' is important, but don't let yourself be taken for granted. By anyone.
Baked myself to a stand still yesterday. I was thinking of getting a few garden jobs done today but I think I'd need full PPE (including a mansafe lanyard) out there this morning, so it's back to hemming curtains.....

Good morning and thank you for kind comments. Helps to know your not the only one.
Wonky hope life is ok with you and oh is keeping well. Dove thanks, sometimes it’s just too much. Can’t keep spinning plates Chicky we teach them to be independent but it never really stops us being the first to know of a crisis! Hosta, I am so behind with sowing dividing etc I think it may have to be left this year.
My father used to call me Mrs Fixit inthose days I was flattered. We are booked into Dumfries house for lunch today, always a treat. However it is snowing hard and the flakes truly are the size of saucers! O h has decided Sunday roasts too much work for me and has decided we will go out each week.
One very interesting thing I have been taught this week is to squeeze a stress ball as I walk. It’s astounding the difference it makes!
have a good day and stay warm when I read my last post I am horrified, I don’t drink so can’t blame the typos on that, I think it was sheer exhaustion. Hope this mornings is better!

@Lily Pilly I’ve been told that at this stage ‘mater familias’ is an honorary position only, not an executive one
Its hard isn’t it ... not being able to solve their problems for them when we’ve always been able to before ... but with some wonderful patient support from OH and stern words and much more besides from the inestimable @WonkyWomble I’m learning. I’ve even been known lately to go out and turn my phone off Hopefully my BP is benefitting 😊
