I've been in and on the lake  and I've cut a load of willow back so I can take the boat between the two islands.
I had one of those, one foot on land, on in the boat moving back into the water moments. Mercifully I didn't go in, but it was V close.

@Hostafan1 ... think you should have an
assistant for that sort of job 🧜‍♂️

Just back from helping Dad with painting his shed and new fence. Quite fiddly and had to do acrobatics to get in behind shed. I also came out in a rash on my forearms where I was brushing against a dwarf conifer plant. Massive improvement after some antihistamine cream. Having a cheeky Danish pastry and cuppa now.

Hope all is well with you.
Just heard there is another storm coming...

Islander do you have a communications system? Is your phone working and fully charged. You will know better than us how to cope but could you get off the island it is it too late? I still can’t figure out where exactly you are.
Punk stay cosy, is Moira due home tonight? I have always thought you should write
Aunty the paint would have frozen in your hand here!,certain your dad appreciated it
We have walked round tidying as much as we can up but I feel lousy today so a bit of a duvet day. No energy at all. I really don’t understand what is happening to me.
So much dividing, sowing, to be done and compost to be made and sifted    at least the pruning is done

I have to give Hubby credit. Whilst I was on / in the lake he was weeding in the Hosta tunnel.
The last of the agapanthus have now been split and repotted and we've turned some compost bins too.
    Tea and courgette cake now.
