Did you hear about the bloke going off the road in his car in Devon yesterday, Lyn and Hosta? How lucky was he!  :o
More wind/rain/sleet etc for tonight and tomorrow for lots of areas. Think today is to be the best/calmest of the week.
It's cleared again here. I put washing on earlier - it'll need well pegged. Don't want to have to ask more southerly forkers to catch it...
I'll need some supplies today- not much in the fridge, and apart from some peas and broccoli, the freezer's full of 'not very much I'd want to eat'.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Morning all.
Not many sock people then! Would probably look weird if the socks were the only thing you had on 😱
I think we have a window for some shed painting and gardening today - marvellous.
Have a good day all, whatever you up too.

Dove, isn’t it lovely when you can go shopping with your daughter.  I hope she get on well with her new venture, there comes a time when you just have to stop and slow down a bit.
My mum and I always went shopping together.  If I was going out, I’d always ring ask if she wanted to come.

Whisper it ‘cos I don’t want her to get big headed, but she’s lovely company 😊. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and have promised her I won’t worry about her 🙄

    Hi all.
Bad storm last night, very little sleep, made worse by Moira being away. I never sleep well when I am in the house alone.
Sunny but bitterly cold, don't think I will be doing much in the garden, just need to check on the greenhouse and to check no trees are down.
@Dovefromabove ,am not listening to David, but he is sending me a free copy of his book and has suggested we might like to do some talks together.

Morning all. Still windy here, but sunny. Chilly though! Brrr.

Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild, BL :).

I need to get on and start some seed sowing as I'm on jury service from next week and probably won't get a chance to do many outdoor gardening sessions while that's going on. Tomorrow's weather doesn't look conducive to gardening and I'm otherwise engaged on Wednesday. Not sure what the rest of the week is like.

Oh dear @punkdoc 😑 try a nap after lunch ... OH always has one ... just 20 mins. Talks would be great ... particularly if there was one around here 👍
And remember you’re not on your own ... we’re like the Borrowers ... we’re there, it’s just that you can’t see us 😉

😂 R2 just played ‘Don’t jump off the roof Dad’
... they don’t make ‘em like that any more ... snowflakes would probably get upset 😉

Your neighbour the ferryman knows you are there ... hunker down, stay in bed wrapped up warm and if the cats want to go in or out they’ll have to wait. Do they have a nice large litter tray?  You can make an emergency extra one with a washing up bowl etc?

Lots of positive thoughts heading your way.

@islander ... We were right in the middle of the worst of the 87 hurricane, so I know a little of the ferocity of storm and tempest, although being inland we didn’t have the sea to worry about ... but looking at it logically, it would seem that your home, although unconventionally built, has probably ridden out many a storm in its time ... make a flask of soup as a standby, batten down the hatches and immerse yourself in a good book and/or your knitting. As I say, positive vibes winging their way westwards. 👍
