That sounds promising @Busy-Lizzie. My fingers are very crossed.
Hoping for a brighter dawn for you tomorrow @islander

Not sure about raspberry wall @Obelixx ... maybe cream would be better 😉

Lovely Scottish loch trout with green beans and Charlotte potatoes for supper ... 😋

Now to flollop on the sofa ...

    Good luck, BL :)

Obxx, I wanted to ask you (with your exhaustive knowledge of feeding wood etc!) if you've ever used Urad leather polish?

Evening all.  Can't remember when I last posted, and haven't gone back to check, but after 3+ weeks my brother is finally out of hospital. Initially they said 'probably overnight'. It's been a long haul.

We've had no home internet for 3 days either - I've hammered my data allowance. But the new hub appeared this afternoon and was quick and easy to set up - hurrah!

Horizontal rain here at the moment - glad to be indoors.

Hope NY is keeping well, Chicky. And feel better wishes to islander.

Evening. Some have been busy I see.

I just did a few house jobs then went to my Dad’s and ‘vacuumed through’. Bless him - he does quite well on the HW since he has been widowed but vacuuming is a bit much (or as Mum used to say - he doesn’t see dust) so I take my machine with all the attachments to do fiddly corners and stairs etc.

Hope everyone ok - particularly those having a hard time with worries or ailments.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

@AuntyRach I find I have to wear my reading glasses when going the hswk or I don’t see dust either :flushed:

LG - glad you're back on.  Hope brother is OK.  Sorry, don't do leather except for shoes so haven't used a leather feed except for Dubbin on my walking boots.

Thanks Dove and Obxx. Brother has ongoing problems but is apparently relieved and delighted to be home (and back in his powerchair, no doubt). I will see him on Friday :).

Really enjoyed the Sewing Bee last night. Juliet's from round here so there's much local excitement
We also finally got round to watching that Very English Scandal thing (Hugh Grant as Jeremy Thorpe) - thought it was excellent.

Hello everyone. We had to put the winter blanket on the bed last night.  After months of heat wave temps, the predicted “Southerly buster” arrived and we awoke to 0.8 degrees this morning. Brrr! No shorts or tank tops today. I’ve been out to check the Zucchini’s and cucumbers. They’ve managed to survive their shock. Crazy weather. I wonder if Glenys in SA has had similar weather.

I hope you all had a good sleep.
