I've been out in the showers making my new no dig beds in the veg garden. We bought the wood for the edging yesterday before daughter rang to say baby was coming.

Poor daughter, baby was yelling to be fed at 3am and didn't settle until 7am.

    Thank you Dove and Obelixx.

    Hello everyone!

Thanks to all for post-birthday greetings - and congratulations @Busy-Lizzie on grandchild no.12!  That's a lot of birthdays to remember...

Glad you had rain, Glenys.  You could have shared mine if you'd asked...   ;)  ...I'm so glad to have got ahead in the garden when it was so warm and dry, because it's gone soggy again.

Hope your journey home is uneventful, Chicky.

    Stay safe and warm, Islander!

Oh dear!  He’s starting as he thinks he’s going to go on 😆. Good job he’s got big sisters...  he’ll learn his place in the grand scheme of things ... eventually 😉

@Glenys 2 , Yes  GA Sylvia is still active. When she goes shopping, people recognise her from the programme.  The children still come and visit on a regular basis, but mostly they go to School now, so visit once a month. A lot of friendships were made during the filming, which still continue.  Sylvia was one of 12 children, my grandmother being the eldest, and  I have a huge family on that side of the family. I have 18 cousins on that side, I lost count of Mums cousins.  Sylvias parties are a huge family get together, with family from all over the country.

    Evening all,
Safe travels Chicky, I'll be in the garden at the weekend too 😊 weather permitting!
Hello LG, sounds like you had a good start to the day, but the rest is going as well 😊
Congratulations BusyL on the birth of Adam 😊 hope he learns to settle at night before babysitting duties commence!
It was my last day at work today. Handed in my notice after trying for a year to work fifty hours and be full time housewife...I was burning out and not earning much!
Have taken the plunge and gone self employed as housekeeper and gardener and almost have a full schedule already 😊
Hope to be able to be me a little more instead of just being exhausted!
Hopefully be able to work on my own garden more and get a bit of my life back!
Expect to see a bit more of me here for gardening advice and company 😁
    Have a lovely evening all

It is.  Family time too.  Good luck Wonky.  Don't forget to pay your stamp for your pension!

    Evening all.
    Congratulations to Busy’s family.
Hat’s off to Wonky for making a change to enhance your life.

Managed to get a lovely neck massage at Chill Out Friday in work today - bliss ☺️
Need to have a good think over weekend about whether to apply for a promotion at work... pros and cons plus I’ll have to increase my hours and do a Master’s level course. Fab opportunity but a big commitment... 🤔

    Have a lovely weeeknd all.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Thank you Hosta, Obellixx and Auntyrach 😊 my work was badly effecting my home and family life as well as my immune system. Had to make the change while I'm young enough!
I plan to do everything in the correct fashion Obellixx, I have taken after Dove and have an active worry gene so would rather know my pension is covered and I can claim my vat back.
Auntyrach, Sounds like you have a weekend full of pondering that decision, best of luck for what ever you decide 😊
Thanks Hosta, realised just how important me time is when I forgot what me was like... Didn't recognise myself!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to having weekends off to garden and catch up with your gardens! Happy weekend folks!
