Good morning.  Sunny with cloudy spells here.   Just having coffee before getting going on more painting.   Watching a series I recorded - A man and his garden - wonderful walk down memory lane with Geoff H and guess what - 1983 and he's bending 5mm steel rods to make plant supports!      That was the year I got my first house and garden and started watching GW.   Must have missed that one tho.

Greetings to all.  Lots of busy-ness going on.   Enjoy your day.

Yes, I spotted that too, Obxx. I was certainly not into gardening back then! But I got into it while he was still presenting, so watched Paradise Gardens and GW etc. He's 'my' GW presenter, much as John Pertwee is 'my' Doctor Who ;)

Long since given up on Dr Who LG - remember having toy daleks! - and agree, Geoff H is the best.  Tremendous knowledge, a gift for communicating the fun and joy of gardening and doing it all with an eye to wildlife, the wider environment and finances too.

We'll be laying a small terrace soon.  OH's homework is to watch all 3 of those DVDs to see how to do it.

    Morning from Stateside 🇺🇸

Happy Birthday Boxing Day Liri 🎁🎈🎉

Its been a good trip, lots done, lots of new ideas and lots of people met. Its freezing here (-15 last night) and there is snow everywhere from a downfall they had on Sunday. Back home overnight, so hopefully back in the garden at the weekend 😀🌸🌼🌸😀.

Hello all. Glad you had a good trip, Chicky, safe journey home.

Belated happy birthday to you, Liri. My new grandson shares your birthday.

Daughter 2 had her baby boy yesterday afternoon She rang when we were in Leclerc supermarket and asked me to collect her two children from school. She was in the labour ward then. We had lunch in the Wok place and went home. By the time I arrived at the school, 1hr20 from here, the baby was born. He's called Adam, my 12th grandchild, 8lb7oz. I took the children to see him yesterday evening, then we had a McDonalds with their Daddy and it was past their bedtime. Daddy said he could cope so I came home about 10.30pm. I won the bet! All daughter's family and friends betted on the day they thought he would arrive, no money though, a friend and I chose the 7th.

I’ve knitted since the age of four, (or should that be from 4 years old😀)
My dad taught me!   I knitted all of my baby cousins cardigans, vest and pram suits when I was 12, that was 60 years ago, I still have those patterns and every baby since has had something from those books.  I’ve just sent a  cardi in cream, to my step daughter, due in July, she will find out what it will be on Monday, can’t wait. 😇

Congratulations to all concerned BL.   Lovely news.  Who needs to knit when you can offer babysitting and gardening support?

    Enjoy your rain Glenys.

I’ve spent time this morning cutting back the Group 3 clematis and some of the perennials in the back garden ... I’ve done the clematis in the front garden as it’s near the house wall and fairly well protected, but I’ve not cut back the sedums and salvias at the front as it’s such a frost pocket.

Now its turned dull and damp so I’ve come inside.
