Yesterday went to the tip 2 times with lots of wood - posts hidden at bottom of garden lots of heavy lifting and garden waste so lots of clearing in garden
Today the garden waste bin got emptied out - been planting up some basket the easy fill type for garden some more to plant yet so much nicer lighter gardening for this morning as my arms needed it today, spotted a blue butterfly
@Guernsey Donkey2 do you have that barley wood straw in your pond that is ment to help with algae in ponds

Bit of pruning and started tidying the ‘by the shed mess’ ready for some pots of vegetables (a-pot-ment!). Missed my bin collection today, as wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow because of the Bank Hol -  so the garden bin will have to stay full for another fortnight now.
Plenty of butterflies today - including little blue ones, which I don’t usually see.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Planted a new Hebe called appropriately 'Liz' - so I just had to buy it didn't I!. Wanted to plant the new Spiraea 'Fireflame' but too many alliums coming up with buds on so will have to wait. Did some weeding and put all my ceramics out, bowls, water feature and pots etc.

Took a small half moon basket off the wall to give it a good soak in a bucket this morning - it rained hard 15 mins later! Rescued some more pots I had soaking and pulled others out into the rain to get soaked!  You can't win, can you. It's only 12c outside and I don't feel that enthusiastic about doing any more today.

Was going to try (hands very sore) but first it got very windy then started to rain so no gardening today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

@Dee73 - was it you who was asking for suggestions to help your sore hands, a few days ago?  If so, and they're still bad, it sounds as if you might be suffering from more than regular wear and tear on your gardening hands... maybe you are reacting with dermatitis to some substance in your gloves, or some plant in your garden?  A really good quality barrier cream might help to protect your hands.

But maybe I've got the wrong person here - if so, apologies!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liriodendron, it was me I've made an appointment with the nurse for tomorrow as today they are really sore and a bit red. I've not reacted before and wearing the same cloves, son think I might have taken my gloves of and touched the compost. I'm OK with soil but not sure about compost. As I only have to wait till tomorrow I'm not doing anything incase I make it worse, I'm sure the nurse will be able to suggest something. I just had a thought I've bought a few plants and wonder if I'm reacting to one of them will find the labels and put a list up tomorrow maybe someone might know I'll also take the list with me tomorrow. Thanks for asking and your suggestion, I'll also add to the list what the nurse thinks it might be.
