Dare I say it - I mowed the lawn (in May). o:)
We just did that too, although we like to leave a bit of wild, so we didn't mow the weird slopey bit. 😄

We tried not to, but after 10 days we gave in and mowed. Two days later and it looks like it needs it again!

If I didn't cut my lawn in May,  it would be impossible to cut it

We had to strimmer the long bits @GWRS just so the lawnmower could cope! Good job it's the green waste bin this week, it's full!

Did lots of pottering around, potted on some stuff, planted out a few of the lettuce and beetroot, though I’ve kept a few back in case those fail!

    Noticed a few things:

Some seeds that I sowed ages ago e.g. Honesty have suddenly started sprouting. I’d pretty much given up on the first lot and had sown some more last week but left the old ones just in case. Good thing too it seems.

I also keep most of my seedlings and small plants in the plastic greenhouse on trays with gravel. I decided to take a look under the pots and plug trays and couldn’t believe the number of slugs and snails! No wonder my cosmos got eaten! All of them got squished and I’ve moved everything off the trays and just onto the wire shelves. The slugs will need to be high wire acts to get to my plants now!!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Pottered (very cautiously because of a bad back). Weeded and planted some over- wintered diasca and nemesia. Tipped out TnT daffs and planted these as well. Watered and fed my 6 potted roses. Admired the wisteria and purple irises combo.

Pricked out lettuce and white love in the mist.
Had a furtle in my pot of Okra seeds as one seedling has come through so thought the rest had not germinated but the other 3 are just beginning to sprout so covered them up and have to be a bit more patient.
The loofas are going great guns so far. Also the tomato plants are loving their new larger pots and fresh soil.
