More power-washing of driveway today which turned into garage tidying! We haven’t done a tip run for the last 3 years so there is definitely one pending now. The only plant-related gardening I did was deadheading Daffs and shuffling a few pots around.

Yes - at last!  After more heavy rain overnight and up until lunchtime, as soon as it stopped I went out and pottered, pruning here and there, uncovering the three veg beds and digging in the very soggy cardboard bits. Cut/pulled the ivy on the fence behind my raspberry and gooseberry borders and had a general tidy up.  Lots still to do, hope it's dry again tomorrow.

I also sat for 5 minutes on a chair in my 'orchard' and admired the fritillaries under the apple tree. Very peacefull.

@Lizzie27 jealous that you have fritillaries already. No sign for ours yet.
Transplanted pea seedlings and then the rain came again.
Sowed some aubergines, chillies and peppers in pots but indoors at the moment.
Planted out shallots. So far behind but our very clay soil is so cold for so long and then we have had so much rain...and flood alerts!

We planted a fargesia out which had been in an old recycling tub for 2 years, it's a good job they're forgiving plants!
    Repotted some strawberries.
Chatted to a lot of worms, tutted at some slugs.

Just a bit of weeding this morning and sowed some nicotiana. Well I think I sowed that - either the seeds are incredibly small or I sowed some dust.

I took up and rearranged a red brick edging to some steps in front of my gooseberry bed. Wasn't an easy job but wanted to make it higher so I could heavily manure and mulch the gooseberries.
Took most of the afternoon but gorgeous in the sunshine.

Cut back some box and a pittosporum that had got out of hand.  Weeded borders and cut/edged the front lawn.  Doesn't sound like much but I'm really aching tonight.

Transplanted all my tomatoes and cucumbers. Replaced with flower seeds of Little Leo sunflower, and Dalias. In the root trainer I have French beans, sweetpeas ( Horizon and Frilly) and Schizanthus. I am a little late this year due to health.

We are so far behind but trying to catch up. Transplanted pea seedlings, planted out the shallots, sowed different indoor veg seeds before we put them out. But the beetroot have at last germinated. And so have the carrots!
