Putting up fences with my Dad in garden, also dug out and bucketed up soil from a raised bed that is going to get new wood scaffold boards painted last year sage green - that will be one of my veg beds.
I will have a good border to re-do not much in it as ivy took over from fence, broke a bit of pampus grass the bit the wasps took over last year the amout of dust off that horrible - got the nest like a bees nest with all the little holes honey comb like
Had a day off work today and what a lovely sunny day! Managed to sow lollo rosso, butterhead lettuce, beetroot, broad beans, french beans, sweet corn , peas, mangetout, cosmos, nasturtium .....still more to do but at last I’ve made a start! Managed to get a bit of weeding done but ran out of time so roll on the weekend. It was lovely to spend a few hours outdoors, it really lifts my spirits ( I tend to suffer generally with low mood and anxiety at times) Although I may be tired and aching after a day weeding and digging, I feel much happier. Let’s hope the weather holds until the weekend so I can carry on weeding more beds.😀
Taking a chance and putting all my seedling out into the garden under a cloches as I need to sow more seed and no room. Going to dig over a bit more of the veg garden today a little at a time is all I can manage.
Love the cartoon Hampshire Hog sound like me with the brambles and bind weed and so the battle goes on.
The salad & brassica seeds I sowed were all up within 3 days the Toms are just showing signs of coming up- propagator certainly works. Recovering from 2 hours of rotavating on plots yesterday, ground is drying out at last hope to sow parsnips & plant early spuds on Friday.
Have been outside this morning , cold did some lawn edging , vacuumed cars and topped up bird feeders Need a little rest now , don’t want to over do it 😉
Allotment this morning with the wife spent a couple of hours but she was getting cold sat in her chair so we came home.
Did get to sort out all my over wintering pots removed all the old dead stuff and checked for slugs and snails, gave them all a good water and put them up off the ground, also sowed three Pumpkin Atlantic Giant in the hope to keep my 1st place in the autumn show.

We did another blitz on the front garden - weeding, digging up Spanish bluebells (bulbs too most of the time) and snipped a bit here and there around the garden - dead heading and then had a minor dispute regarding our boundary ......
A minor dispute with a neighbour or each other @Guernsey Donkey2 ? We only found out from our next door neighbour the other day that the fence which divides our properties is in the wrong place. It should have been further towards us by 2 inches. That would have meant an area down the side of his garage 2 inches wide. He said that was ridiculous and the developer agreed so moved the fence to line up with the garage wall.Thirty years on, l wonder if they ever move out, our new neighbours will want their 2 inches back ? In the meantime back on topic, l have sowed 4 lots of poppies and cut back a summer flowering jasmine which was heading to the skies. This has exposed a tatty looking trellis, so tomorrow's job is to paint that.
Taken a piece of the bottom of the shed door so it shuts properly, dug over a bit more of the veg patch, weeding, put onion's out with fleece cloche over and painted the bottom of ten pieces of wood with bitumen ready for use tomorrow or Friday. Going to have a rest and cuppa before starting tea.
