Not officially,  but it is thought moving it up to Scottish tv  might be a way to down grade it enough to make it too expensive to produce thus giving beeb the excuse to cut it.

purplerallim I hope they haven't cut it as we really only have two informative gardening programs on the TV. When you consider all the games shows there are far more of them than gardening programs. They go on about we all need to be more active so they should be putting thing like gardening on more. Thanks again.

Tidied some border edges, sowed some lettuce and herbs in the gaps in veg pots (some of the peas didn’t survive slug attack ☹️) and had a general potter.

Only watered today. Then picked lettuce and red spring onions. Rest of day washing clothes and making lime curd. So many limes on tree now.😁

Did some pruning (well, hacking back!) removed an oddly placed branch in cherry tree, cut off two overhanging branches of a lovely purple elderflower, fortunately just going over. Had to be done, I could no longer reverse the car round. Dug up some more bamboo roots, but managed to salvage a couple of new shoots. Watered everything in pots in view of the forecast tomorrow.

I bought a Catmint Walkers Low at the beginning of the month. It was fine for a few weeks but then at least two of neighbourhood cats found it and started to eat it / squash it. So then I erected a wire frame fence around it. That protected the Walkers low (other than a few of the outermost tips) but alas the cats have ended up trashing a bunch of the nearby plants as they try to get around the fence.  I just popped out to find a cat making a mess of my globe thistle (a drug high evidently trumps getting spiked).

The WL has now been dumped in the garage. It's a nice looking plant the bees liked, and it's a bit of money down the pan, but I have enough issue with other peoples' cats without throwing good plants after bad.
