    Hello all,

I’ve potted up one small black tomato plant. Sowed 3 seeds and only one sprouted which is the same as last year.

The 1st true leaves are starting to appear on my wild strawberry seedlings. How long should I leave them before potting up? They are tiny and look very fragile at the moment.

There’s also one flower already on my framberry plant. Should I put the plant in a coldframe to protect from frost? I’ve purchased a cheap one from Aldi today, just not got round to varnishing or putting it together yet.

Been out carry on mulching beds and got a puncture on my barrow so that stopped play. Drank coffee and admired the dafs and corocus.

Skylarks , we are still getting frosts , so I would put in cold frame just to be sure

Bought and planted a dozen primrose and a dozen tulips

Mulched and watered everything that’s gone in the last week

Customized the three new fence panels ( took till now for them to come in after the two storms) so they fit the slightly wonky concrete posts, watched by daddy's little helper 😁

Still feeling under the weather but as the weather forecaster said it is over 12c outside, thought I'd just clear up storm debris and moss off the roof in the courtyard. Lasted just half an hour, not warm enough for me yet.

Cleared loads of rubble and rubbish from where we had two large trees felled. Tidied more of the borders and tried removing a laurel bush which refused to budge.  Looks like a pick axe job.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Walked one of the fields which is low lying and approx half is covered in water - even have some Mallards using it as just like a pond.  Mowed a path through our large garden lawn with the idea of letting the rest of the lawn go WILD. However we still have the issue of the front lawn to turn it into perfection if there is such a thing.

I wouldn't waste your time or energy looking for the perfect lawn @Guernsey Donkey2 - just settle for 'good enough'.

I have been on bramble watch again - normally they are bloody tough nuts to get out but with all the rain we have had, they were easier to get out.
