@AnniD I think mine is doomed, friends son (17) thought he was 'helping' and cut what I had left right down to the ground, I could have cried

    Happy Anniversary @purplerallim :)
@Mary370, is there anything left above soil level ? If not it might be worth clearing the soil away a bit to expose the base. There's still hope 🤞

In and out between showers today and wearing a jumper.  The weather goblins tell me that because April went unnoticed due to C-19, it was rather miffed and has done a deal with June resulting in a job-swap for this year! :D
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

@AnniD .......not too upset about it now, thinking I might plant a climbing rose there instead

You'll need your friend's son back again to dig that lot out, I'm thinking. It must have been a very old montana.

No, how naughty of me,  I have to be in the mood, I havent been idle people.  did carefully check "stuff" to see if it needed watering, rain promised yesterday, last night and today, the tiniest shower around 5 am, did nothing.  Hubby has weeded fron garden, pressure washed the drive, taken bottom leaves of cordyline, Oh, I have just remembered, I weeded the stone tubs out the front.  Went to Dunelm, made masks for grandkids needed elastic, spent 8 hours last weekend, making them suddenly realised I hadnt had a drink in that time.  Took the dogs for a run in the park, Now knitting jumper (for winter) for grandsons Birthday on the 15th.

    Purplerallim , happy anniversary 🥂

No gardening as weather terrible , couple of hours ago a tremendous Hail storm ⛈
Hopefully water butts now full - thinking positive 😉

Spent most of my day digging out a Buxus (box I think?, also took a cutting of what I think is a Veronica, sowed some aquilegia seeds which I hope I’ve done right! Oh and I did a bit of deadheading

Set up a gripple system thing for my jasmine. So glad I went with the gripple not metal wire. Think I’m over working with wire as my fingertips still feel numb after all the wire winding I did making a chicken wire trellis.

Thanks @AnniD and @GWRS Have had a lovely lazy day. Hubby was upset this morning as he always sends me a bunch of flowers, but he went out a bought some locally,  he said he couldn't miss buying me some. Isn't he cute. Tonight's surf and turf was gorgeous ( even if I do say so myself) will have to have it again.😋😁
