Same here @Allotment Boy my sump pump is clearing my land drain really well this year, I dug the hole down to 4ft and now it keeps the water below the drain.
Another one that goes out just to inspect the number of shoots pushing through! I put about 250 crocuses in my lawn in Autumn and some have started to flower - randomly all the same shade of purple even though I know I bought several different colours and varieties!
I spent 2 hours digging over a patch of flowerbed where a network of nettles are trying to get an early start. It was so muddy so not a lot of progress, but I did manage to get a wheelbarrow full of roots. Finally got rained off, had to put everything I was wearing in the washing machine, but it felt good to get out there.
Hopefully the rest of your crocuses will appear soon @Crazybeelady. 🙂

Went into garden yesterday, a mud patch where a digger had been putting up a sandstone boulder wall. I sank up to the tops of my wellies, fell over into mud, had to abandon wellies and crawl/climb out of mud leaving wellies in situ. They were in too deep and I was in trouble, I had nothing to hang on to, nothing to grab. It was like quicksand. Wellies are still in the mud today. I was a bit shaken.
Ooh @rtk, that sounds a bit scary - and messy, I hope you've managed to recover the wellies.
@Mary370, I have had garlic for weeks and just haven't had a dry enough day, all very frustrating. It's the first time for me, I have had to look up what to do with it. I use so much I think it will be worth it, as long as I can get it in the ground.
I tried to do some weeding, just the little ones you can get with your fingertips. I got wet despite a rain mac and wellies, but at least I felt like I was doing something. I noticed quite a few new plants coming through, not sure if they were growing up or floating up though.
Hoping to chop some bamboo back later it it dries off a bit, maybe, we'll see, not looking hopeful.

Yay!! It's the first day in ages when I can truly say I've done some real gardening. Cleared the debri and weeds from one of the borders, wanted to do more but I'm aware that it might not have seemed such a good idea come tomorrow. My soil is pretty good but even so it was very wet. Lots of snowdrops uncovered and shoots from the daffs, crocus and tulips showing through. It's so exciting to be back in the swing of things.

Amazing how tame robins are isn't it @Logan4
