Pricked out some little jem lettuce, tom's and transplanted some white geraniums.  Sown more spring onions and a few more toms as some didn't germinate plus some flower seeds. Still lots to do but enough for today.

Hubby painted and slotted in a couple of fencepanels while I cleared out and cleaned the greenhouse ready for a delivery of plug plants tomorrow.  I have loads of seedlings to go in too, but they are a bit little at the moment so I'm keeping them in the conservatory. Every year my neighbour offers me some tomato plants and I always refuse as I would have a problem looking after them with hols and nanna duty.  Might take him up on his offer this year if, I can get some compost to grow them in.

    Another beautiful day here.
Potted up my overwintered dahlia "Bishop of Canterbury",  still have all my new ones to do.
Cut back some of the shrubby salvias that had collapsed all over the place (not right back, l know it's still too early, but it was very tempting !).
I have the opposite problem to you @Yviestevie, l told our neighbour when he asked, that l wasn't growing tomatoes this year as we had planned our first holiday for years ,also various days out , and l was only going to grow stuff that could stand a bit of neglect.
I have now got the seeds and the compost and will need to shout across to him that his luck has changed !
@GWRS , l know what you mean, the birdsong is really loud  :)

I started digging out all the plants from a side bed, now got so many hellebore plants I don't know what to do with them, I haven't room for any more. I also had another go at sealing a large water butt lid (it's got holes in). Found two very large slugs hiding underneath and I think they eventually fall in and drown, making the water horribly smelly.

Put the last of some horse manure my neighbour gave me last year into the compost bins.  Then did lots of weeding.  Pulled some rhubarb and made the first crumble of the year, yum.

Just did a bit of hoeing in the garden today, as I did rather a lot on the Allotments  the last 2 days.

Laid out stone base and levelled water bowls and fire bowl

Moved turf to a temporary turf pile

    Restacked old tyres

    Tidied a bit more

    Used up old woodchip bags

    Finished filling leaf mould pile

Planted four pots of hyacinths in the borders and replaced some of the polyanthus that hasn't done very well. Had to water the polyanthus that goes down the side of the path, it's getting dry now need some rain.
