Watered and fed the pots (except one that I missed, only to find it very droopy come the afternoon) then cracked on with the cedar screen. It's 80% done and I'm pretty happy with it!!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

  • Yes, extended a 3 feet fence to 6 feet, 22 concrete posts, fitted in less than 2 hours from start to finish, steel-concrete post extenders from easyfence, looks fantastic

The wind has been a blasted nuisance,  bits of hanging basket plants everywhere. Luckily it seems to be dying down at last.
Pulled out the last of the foxgloves and cut back some buddleia that was sprawling everywhere. Dug out a campanula that had spread everywhere and a hardy geranium,  one of those low growing types. Dug in some old compost as the soil was dreadful, there is talk of rain later in the week which would be welcome.
Did some deadheading of roses and scabious.
The bellis seeds l sowed about a week ago are showing !
    Time for a cuppa.

Lots of deadheading and tidying.  Moved a large pot to a new spot.  Planted Heuchera Obsidian and Hosta Popcorn.  Doesn't sound like a lot but I'm shattered.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands

First proper session in the garden for a while, weather has been all over the place, but after a grey start and light drizzle, the afternoon was much nicer with some sun and breezy rather than windy.

Hoed veg plot, dead headed roses, harvested courgette, lettuce, radish and spring onion. Dug up second batch of garlic, which had cloved up nicely and is now hanging to dry. Sowed a couple of rows of turnips where the first earlies came out. Lots of watering as no real rain forecast until the end of the week.

Just in from weeding front border of establishing yews. Thought soil was very dry so checked rain radar. Massive band of rain just north of us with the promise we'll get some tonight. Think I'll still give it a good soaking though, just in case.
