  • Did I say that the hubby improved his sleep by using a V shaped pillow, placed across the front of a pillow and under the shoulder/arm of the bad one. Somehow it takes the weight off the bad shoulder, he broke his, twice, so this has worked quite well for a long time @Ergates and @Wilderbeast

@purplerallim I have tried an ordinary pillow but it never stays put think Mrs Wilderbeast has 1 of them pillows so I'll try it. Went after home schooling finished and completed a 4th compost bin remodel, definitely room for a 6th bin.

I use a v pillow to support my dodgy shoulder too. I put it with one "leg" under my regular pillow and the other coming down under the arm with the bad shoulder. Mine was calcific tendinitis, so not as bad as a fracture but painful and takes ages to heal.

Ive been out and trimmed one of my ferns as it ended up with lots of snapped leaves after the snow. It’s full of new “knuckles” so I’m confident it will be as good as ever this year.

Aconites are flowering which is nice.

Hopefully will be moving soon so hoping everything will be in the ground this time next year.

Pruned all the Clematis this morning and cut back all the dead perennial growth in the front garden.  Also moved some half barrel planters.  Bought Fish Blood and Bone yesterday so I hope to spread that tomorrow.  The garden feels like it's getting there now lots of daffs open, crocus, hellebores and snowdrops.

Totally sympathise @Wilderbeast, as I have a frozen shoulder at the moment. Sleep has been rotten.. it’s the turning over ... ouch!
Anyway, need to re-sow a bunch of seeds after an errant balloon, followed by an enthusiastic child, saw several shelves of seed trays crashing to the ground. I have run out of compost, but the car has broken down so can’t get any for a few days.... honestly, couldn’t make it up this week! 🤣🤣

Considering I had my jab today I didn't do too bad.  FBB the borders, dug a bed for raspberry canes and planted the first three.  Filled a couple of large pots and planted two blueberry bushes.

  • Its been a busy day for me today. Second warm day on the bounce so I thought I would finally plant my clematis.  Its been in the pot it arrived in from Taylor’s for a few weeks and had outgrown it as the roots were starting to come out the bottom and beginning to get root bound. Hopefully it’s strong enough to survive the last few frosts we will be getting this year as it’s already two foot tall and growing daily!

My Lady of Shalott from David Austin also arrived so Ive planted that as well.

I finally did a bit of pottering picking up stray leaves that have blown off the tree like shrub and Pulled out some weeds.

  • A morning pottering,  moved some winter flowering violas out of trough  where hyacinths are coming through,  lots of other little jobs here too.
