Lots of little jobs done, deadheading, repotting, plants put into gaps in the borders. Thought it was going to rain about 5pm but it blew over and warmed up again.
Busy morning. Mrs Wilderbeast dead headed all the aquilegias and remaining lupins. I fed all the tomatoes, aubergines, cannas and bananas. Shifted the compost around to condense it into 3 piles and start another.
Planted out the pak choi, had a good tidy up. Potted on the perennials the old man grew from seed.planted out cornflowers I grew from seed in the wildflower areas. Weeded round the veg.watered the green house.lucky, because then it rained.
Hello , yesterday dead headed oriental poppies , lupins & rhododendron Trimmed bay tree and moved some pots around This morning at allotment This afternoon cut hawthorn hedges & tree plus 3 other bushes Worn out , day off tomorrow
This weekend we tidied our front garden. Strimmer then mowed the tiny rear lawns before moving to the front. We strimmer the edges then cut them with an edging spade to define. Then weeded the borders removing grass where it had grown into the border. We removed the yellow flowers which grow as weeds but look ok. We don't want those spreading thugs. Still a bit to weed though.
We defined the edge, seeded the bare but where a tree had grown over. Removed plants from around and under the conifer that was struggling. Hopefully that'll save it. I'm sick of cutting down conifers that are struggling and then removing stumps.i want to save this one. It now looks neat enough to leave and just mow/edge for awhile. Now we can get back to the much larger, rear garden that needs so much work and where we will enjoy more once under control.
