Couldn't sleep so pottered into the greenhouse and sowed rudbeckia, verbena, fennel and salvia.
  • Oh cleared last years patch of Johnsons Blue and Geranium Pink Wargrave while I split a patch of Emily Mackenzie Crocosmia into 6 litre pots, a good start here on a nice bright afternoon in Wales, more later I expect even though we have a light cover of snow.
  • No gardening as its snowing.

Tidied the smaller branches of a tree we recently had felled, it was shading the wild flower garden causing smaller and less flowers, and the fritilleries  are pushing through as well as primroses and daffodils in flower, so much more light for them.
  • I potted up 8 white buddleia cuttings (from last autumn) as they all had roots. I will inspect those that I put in my cuttings trench in the next few days.

Did a bit more clearing of a flower bed that l want to replant. Potted up some Michaelmas daisies, centaurea, a shrubby salvia and Origanum "Herrenhausen" that l want to try and keep.
Quite nice in the sunshine,  but a distinctly chilly wind when the sun went in !
  • Volunteer day at Capel Manor labelling plants for their sales centre in readiness for their first public opening of the season this weekend.

It works! It actually works!! @Allotment Boy thank you so much for that tip.
Pesky rodent looked like it had been stung, when it tried to raid the feeder earlier today.
    Mwah-Ha-Ha 😈
Maybe I need to get myself one of these, even if purely only for the entertainment value:
