Of the beans in the ground only one germinated,  so it was a good job I did the pop bottle half tube as well inside, so put them in this morning. Will soak a second set and then try planting again.
Its amazing how fast toms grow. As I have been unwell and have left the greenhouse to hubby, who has done a stirling  job of watering and ventilation,  went in to find three have got away from me and have two leading stems 🙄 We have pea size toms on one and half the plants in flower. Plus the first flowers on the cucumbers too.

To windy to do much gardening, checked for wind damage, not a lot, runner beans will need to be rewound up the sticks, lost the odd cauli plant, placed a net door in the glasshouse overnight, has done a great job, glasshouse ventilated plants including tomatoes looking very good.

I decided to move a Jasmine. It was lovely the first year or two (bought from RHS Spring Flower Show Cardiff) but struggled to be prolific since. It is probably because it’s in a pot. I have cut it away from the trellis (kept a few blooms in a vase as delicious fragrance) and cut it back. I will re-pot and see what happens. I find that my climbers in pots do reach a point of lack-lustre, which means it is time to re-pot. I did this with Clematis Miss Bateman, which was the definition of pot-bound - a tangle of roots with barely any soil.
Bit windy to enjoy much more pottering today.
Grass was cut and edged yesterday (well the front is edged and the rest is ‘natural’).
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Very windy here too.  Not cold so got quite a bit done.  Dug up Iris Cimmeron Strip as it didn't flower this year.   Planted three cuttings and got rid of the rest.  Moved nepeta Kit Kat and a couple of other plants.  Mowed lawns and edged the back one, the front will have to wait until tomorrow.  Potted on 8 fern plug plants and topped up the pond.

We've got 40mph gusts at the moment, enough to blow me over so am staying indoors. Plus we've got some very tall trees quite close to the house so a bit unnerving. We did have a very brief shower this morning, unfortunately not enough to do any good.

In a word, no, unless you count watering things that were in desperate need. It's far too windy to do anything else. On the plus side, we have had 3 rain showers. Nowhere near enough, but l'm grateful for anything !
Roll on tomorrow when this wind is supposed to have died down 🤞.

It's blowing a gale but I've planted a dozen achillea's delivered from Beth Chatto's, have watered 2 beds despite the wind, weeded the veg bed and pulled the radishes. We've only lost 1 foxglove to the wind but the cardoons have taken a real battering and Ive had to remove a lot of damaged leaves.
