@steveTu I've already tried a similar sort of product on them (Doktor Power brand IIRC). It helped some of the panels but a few are in really bad shape -it looks a bit like somebody has used something odd on them at some point as the plastic has actually gone sort of opaque. I'm fortunate to have both a good builder's merchant and a glazier within a few miles, so it's fairly easy for me to get stuff I need (and support independent business too).
Not really done any gardening. lifted 2 of the biggest parsnips I have ever grown along with some beetroot, for Christmas Day dinner with my daughter. Must have been the farmyard manure I dug in. Dug up the last of my scabby, carrot fly infested carrots and 2 leeks for my dinner tonight. I feel ridiculously proud of the parsnips, it was mild, very soggy and dank and the weeds have grown so much it is like a jungle out there. I was hoping for some brussel sprouts but no a single one, cabbages haven't developed heads yet but I do have 3 humungeous turnips. I only wanted a few small ones for when I make pasties. Sod's law or something?
On my elderly neighbours plot I cleared a small patch of weeds dug down and added some manure and then top soil and she planted 20 snowdrop bulbs that had already sprouted.
She was happy and I got a coffee and mince pie.

On mince pies, I opened my 6 pack of Aldi Sloe Gin Mince Pies today and they are so scrummy that there is only one left.
Still need to go out and get some more and a Christmas duck.
“Rivers know this ... we will get there in the end.”
@Wilderbeast like the paving slabs on the side idea - but not allowed to use cement/ concrete, think I will have to think about what to do while doing other bits at plot
@Joyce Goldenlily what will you make beetroot? I have havested some yesterday
@Joyce Goldenlily lifting parsnips is definitely gardening, I have to get mine in the next day or so. I do have sprouts, cabbage & Kale, I am still getting beetroot too.
Lumped a big old lump of stone into its new home across the other side of the garden and had a poke and a prod at the compost in the Dalek. Might be my aged eyes, but could've sworn I saw a few wisps of steam coming off it

" I am going to roast some of the beetroot for Christmas Day dinner and make some Beetroot Chutney with the rest. I bought a jar of Beetroot and Horseradih Relish a while back. Haven't tried it yet, will do so with cheese and biscuits at some time during the festivities. I also pickle some of my crop of beetroot in vinegar to use with salad meals during the summer.
I've just taken delivery of another nine bags of compost to fill in the hole left by the old pond having been removed. I'd hoped to finish it today but rain stops play Maybe tomorrow.
