  • I rushed out in between showers, to chuck manure around the roses and shrubs, at the front. Got so cold though, that I had to abandon after an hour.
    Roll on spring!

Spring is only 11 days away.
  • Sorry to be a pedant but the Spring equinox is not till around 20th -21st March, I know the weather men say spring starts at the beginning of March but they seem to have forgotten the old saying. March roars in like a Lion but goes out like a Lamb :D

  • We repotted more Dahlias today. Bishop of Llandaff, Bishop's Children and Happy Days.  All single flowering varieties.  One had new shoots on it. Won't be long before we can place them outside again.

I walked round the garden photographing all the crocuses and daffs that have suddenly sprung up - got a good display this year.
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • My daffs have weathered the storms well and I too have more crocus than before. The mixed viola put in last November have flowered all winter, and now the early tulips leaves are showing.

Have sown quite a few seeds and weeded the front garden.  So far behind this year as I've not been well but trying to catch up bit by bit.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Just when you get to the point when you could start the seeds for the new season, and you have a heavy cold so unfit to do it! So frustrating. 🤧 plus the storms have thrown bits of trees everywhere so plenty of tidying to do.😡
