    @Mary370 yikes who knew that lurks under a clematis. Did you chop to the root or leave a section up? Good going either way 💪🏽

    Just did some watering again this morning and hung up my orange begonia hanging basket. It hit 28.8 by 4.30 pm so it was icecreams for us as well.

    @Valley Gardener
    I was going to give you a whole list but I will put a photo on here when I have planted out what I have so you can see it. I still need to do a bit of research on whether I can just plant the tomato seedlings in the ground once they have true leaves. I think gardeners keep them in over March because of frost so I might not need to do that. Will have to stay vigilant about slugs because seedlings can’t afford to lose a few leaves!

    Hello , been to allotment this afternoon , just having a beer 🍺 on front lawn Before dinner and noticed the lawn is looking a bit brown
    In fact will need to fill water butts up again from stream , some time over weekend , this is the second time , not done that before , is this virus 🦠 affecting the weather ?

    Haven't done any gardening for a week as been unwell ( bit of a scare really) Sunday evening started with bad headache then high temp with shivers,  just as hubby was due back to work from working at home. So had to have a covid test on Tuesday and today it comes back negative. Am still not right yet but not sure what is the cause as I've been nowhere for weeks.

    Sorry to hear that @purplerallim, hope you get better soon.

    It's again been too hot here to do much, the rat is back (or it's a different one!) so refilled the bait box but managed to lose the key. Then I got the hosepipe out and watered the front garden again - I had been expecting some rain but that didn't happen.
    I've got some ammi waiting to go out but the ground's too hard at the moment.

    Watered a bed tonight plants were looking very Wobegon, we might have to change our choice of plants if these hot are going to be around every year. Pulled up the rocket, it bolted and before I knew it it was about 11/2ft high and very bitter and tough. Planted up the pond I'm delighted with this little project hopefully it'll start to look more natural.
