The really fit one was walking round the scaffolding to the back of the house when I first went past, no point dawdling after that.

It's a gorgeously summery day, and I am feeling virtuous because I have scrubbed and refilled  all the bird feeders and water bowls.  I also put out the first of the mealworms (pre-soaked) for the nestlings.  Only to see half of them scoffed by a magpie.  Sorry, that last sentence belongs in Curmudgeon's Corner.  After lunch, I plan to give the mower its first outing.  After dinner, make the Simnel cake for Mothering Sunday.

OH has just planted his first earlies and has done all the shredding for me. Bless!

I speared my finger on a piece of bamboo cane ... OH stopped what he was doing, performed surgery, cleaned and dressed it then planted my potatoes, cleaned the tools and put everything away.  Someone said to me yesterday that ‘he really is a lovely man’ and I have to agree with her. 💕 😊

For the first time ever, Possum is acknowledging UK Mothers' Day and asked OH to get me a prezzie.  He suggested a new cover for my mobile phone as the current one is broken and the phone falls out when I open it.

No way Jose!!  Found some double sided tape in the SM to fix that and a David Austin Harlow Carr rose in France Rurale on the way home from the SM.   Happy Obxx.

    Good choice, Obelixx.

I'll third that about Dove's OH, having met him, if briefly.

My OH is a gem too, kind and gentle, musical, intelligent and he helps me in the garden. We were both widowed and I've been given a 2nd chance.
