    I'm cheerful today because my first bulb parcel from Farmer Gracy has just arrived.

    @Hostafan1 🥂 🤗
    Must get me eyes checked.  I thought that was 2 chicken drumsticks at first glance.

    I must either be flavour of the week, or my nephew is thinking about his potential inheritance.  He's an electrician but notorious for not getting back to family when they want work doing, even when they do expect to pay the going rate.  I asked him if he could replace our security light and not only did he get back to me, he sent through links to the various options.  He's coming round this weekend to fit it.  Lovely boy. :D

    I went to bed early last night and apart from automatically waking up at 3am as I always do I slept through until 8. I mean I was supposed to be up at 7 but I won't complain about extra sleep right now :)
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Cause for cheerfulness indeed @wild edges 😃

    Nearly had the most wonderful reason to be cheerful a couple of days ago.  I was stopped at a pedestrian crossing (belisha type) to allow a lady and her kids across.  Cyclist coming the other way clearly had no intention of stopping.  He hadn't noticed a cyclist coming at speed through the park opposite who was heading for the crossing and equally had no intention of stopping.  Unfortunately they missed each other by inches.
    It really would have made my day if they'd taken each other out.
