It's also invalid if you put anything on it which indicates who you are.

Which is slightly bizarre since the returning officer can cross check the ballot number against the electoral register  ;)

I thought the only permissible marking on a ballot paper was an X.
In fact a paper is only invalid if the voting intention cannot be determined, it does not have to be marked with an X.
Fair enough, but how does the word 'Brexit' and an arrow towards one candidate enble voting intention to be determined.  It could mean anything.

I wish I could upload the smell of the clematis.

The top one was taken a couple of weeks ago, when the tulips were just past their best.

My new penstemon, Pinacolada Violet is nearly out, can't wait to see it properly in flower.

@Josusa, that's a stunning clematis and front border's looking good as well.

Waze took me a different way home from Secondborn's due to road works.  Lucky me.
    The perfume was divine.

There are few better sights than a good bluebell wood.
My  daughter sent me a message to say she'd just been asked for proof of age in Tesco ( spit ) : she's 30 in July. Methinks that cheered her up.
