    Thats a lovely story Yvie.
I left my purse in a shopping trolley in lids once, I had a very heavy gold charm bracelet in it that I’d taken to the jewellers, didn’t expect to get it back.
they phoned me and said it had been handed in they asked me lots of questions but gave it to me intact. Phew!

I've done a load of archaeological digging to uncover paths. The most used one had a couple of inches of compacted soil which I've scraped off with my trusty paint stripper.
It's wonderful crumbly stuff that is going straight onto the flower beds. A reward for my hard work 😇.
P.S. Don't mention this on that other thread or I'll be drummed out of it!
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Oh yes, also eight of Guernsey Donkeys Ricinus seeds are up so far.  The things we get excited about 😀

It's looking very promising that Jays will be removed from the 'vermin' list of birds that people are allowed to shoot. All thanks to the Wild Justice legal challenge to the General licence :) The science has been reviewed and the BTO have stated that there is insufficent evidence of them causing problems to be included in the new licences. Estimates are that 10000 of them are shot each year. Even in their Welsh strongholds they can be a rare sight so I've never understood the mentality of shooting them.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

You may be lucky tomorrow @Hostafan1, the forecast looks promising.
We have at least 3 hedgehogs visiting our garden at the moment,  and very entertaining they are as well. :)

@AnniD, forecast to start around 8pm and to last for most the next 24 hours. I sincerely hope so. We've had virtually none for several weeks
