No clematis just now @Obelixx, just an acer - Orangeola. The clem will be Julka though, which I've coveted for a while
I spent ages looking at various acers after asking you which ones you had, and although I'd like one of the dark, dissectum ones, this seemed perfect as it has good colours through three seasons.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
No - but there's a lot of stuff been 'recycled'....
It needs properly re jigged. It'll happen one day, but it's too r***y cold for that malarkey today. I could always light a fire to stay warm - that could solve the entire problem if I light it close enough....

That's brilliant @debs64. I'm chuffed because I've just made my 4th apple cake in 2 weeks, getting better at baking! We're just waiting for a friend to arrive for the weekend to cut it, hope he arrives soon, I'm dying for tea and cake!

Surely you need to test the cake first to ensure it's suitable for visitors. That would be my excuse anyway.
It's called quality control. When I worked in a care home, the matron would swoop into the kitchen with a cry of "Quality control!", grab a chip as the chef dished them up, and swoop out again munching with an intense expression.
