Oh those moments. I spent my first year waiting to see if Geranium Roxanne, wondering if it was ever going to appear again. After others had tried to reasure me. and my Oxalis as above Same with now with my Clematis Fujimusume . Its looking good.
I got startling cyan spots on my feet when I shook a dodgy ink cartridge.
Reminds me of being on holiday at my Gran's many years ago. Gran was a widow and had to careful with her money - she was also Scottish To ensure all the sauce could be got out of the bottle, she added something to thin it a little. My cousin lived with Gran and was known for being a bit 'detached' at times, she was also very demonstrative and her arms would be all over the place when she was explaining anything. (I think you can already guess what's coming). Anyway, she picked up the sauce bottle and gave it an almighty shake without first checking the top, which promptly shot off and she ended up covered in sauce. I don't think I ever saw my Gran laugh so much. That must have been all of 60 years ago and I can still visualise it as if it was yesterday. My cousin was never allowed to live it down.
That's always the way isn't it. Why does buttered toast always fall butter side down?
I'm really chuffed today because I've found another two shoots from the base on my severely hacked about clematis armandii (because of drastic hedge work). I didn't think it would survive at all.
