That’s ridiculous about those steps Liri. My neighbour had a skip last year and there were several doggy-bags put in that regularly. Cue brilliant passive aggressive notice on the skip something like: “when I was sorting this skip with my bare hands, I noticed it was incorrectly being used as a dog waste bin”.

    Morning all.

I felt sorry for all those people in Bergerac airport's bleak waiting room waiting to catch our plane to Stansted. I wonder if they took them to Bordeaux. Last year in March we landed in snow at Stansted and stayed the night in a hotel while the roads were gritted.

I have a viewing for this house next week.

    It's still pouring with rain.

Yuk about the dog poo bags, how thoughtless some people are.

Just a quick look in. I’ll read properly tomorrow. We were happily watching American Ninja Warrior when blink, everything went black. Power out again. We’ve showered in the dark and snuck into bed until the blinking clock and any lights inadvertently left on, wake us. Darn it!

Can you turn the blinking clock to face the wall, Pat, or cover it with a towel or something?

That's a thought, @raisingirl.  We're in a terrace of stone built cottages with solid walls.  The cottages are lovely and warm, because they are narrow side-to-side but deep front-to-back, where they share walls with their neighbours.  But those outside walls could do with internal insulation, I expect.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Freezing cold and rain with icy bits in, everywhere Icy,  I’m feeling sorry for Hostafan driving about these lanes in this weather.  My OH is in the workshop all day just got the battle of getting home tonight.

Surprise surprise!  The car de-iced itself so I’ve been to the village and done a Big Shop ... and unpacked it and put it away. There’s a fruitcake baking in the oven and two loads of washing done.  o:)
Now for a sandwich lunch and a sit down  :)

    I'm V Grumpy!!
Some stupid cow has just reversed into Worzle. " what's the use of reversing sensors if they don't tell you there's a car there? " she said. I was tempted to reply, " what's the point in wing mirrors if you don't look at them" hey ho, she's going to pay for it.

Oh no Hosta (and Worzel) - you could do without that.
Had a quiet day to myself today. I have made some oat and coconut biscuits for work tomorrow as we have a massage therapist coming to give us hand/neck/feet massages during our coffee break. I hope I’m not too busy to try both of those treats.
Watching the sky grow heavy and dropped a subtle hint to OH to try to get home before the snow starts.
