Thank you @Pat E.  Nothing like some nice soft rainwater to rinse the washing ☔️

Good morning!  Hi Pat - enjoy your drizzle...

I've already wished you a happy birthday, Dove, on another thread... but no harm in having another one!!   :D

Hope the weather is suitable for your builders, Fairy.  It's beautiful here, but still well below freezing, which might not be ideal for cementing or whatever they're planning, if you have the same.

Minus 4 isn't what I'd have chosen overnight with no heating the day before (or this morning... hurry up, Bernie!).  But the cat came to my rescue last night, and snuggled down under the duvet for mutual warmth.  :)  Must go and collect more firewood from the garden.

Best wishes for the hamster syndrome, Chicky!

OH is needed at work until mid afternoon so I’m going to put my feet up with a good book on the cosy sofa today. 📖
We’ve got a lunch outing to the White Horse at Brancaster planned for when the weather is a little less grim, and a joint family celebration with Wonky’s Lovely Hub is planned soon as he has a notable birthday coming up 🎂  Just got to get everyone’s work diaries to agree 🤔

    Happy birthday Dove.

Happy retirement FG!   First day of freedom and stuck with builders.  Hope it goes well, whatever the weather.

Chicky - I expect that cemetery needs a day to itself.  Liri - love snuggly pussies.  Hope you get your heating fixed today.   We've just ordered fuel for ours and decided to fill the tank so that'll be nearly 2000 litres - less than half the size of the Belgian tank tho and, since we got the PV panels, it only heats radiators.

How's Moira Pdoc?   No washing out here Pat.  It's a bit drismal.   Patchwork later then mosaic and Possum is cooking dinner.  In fact, I've told here she can cook the meals for the rest of this week.   Far too much effort for just passable returns so she can take the strain.  Mind you, I've lost a kilo.....

Greetings to all.  Off to get busy now.
