    Evening all.   :)

Great to "see" you, Wonky.  Even your days off sound impossibly busy - not surprised you don't have much time to post your news.

    Lemon drizzle please, Raisingirl...   ;)

The b***** boiler has now stopped working completely... still, the cat loves the warm rug in front of the living room stove... I'm sitting on it now, next to her.  This morning we got the boiler to fire for 5 minutes, long enough to run some hot water so I could wash my hair, at least.  The washing up has been saved up and will all be done together this evening, using kettles of hot water.  Bernie the Boilerman promises he'll come to our rescue tomorrow.   :/
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri, is it a condensing boiler?  The problem with them is that when it is freezing and you need them most, the outlet pipe freezes up.  My brother spent a lot of time last winter with a hairdryer, defrosting outlet pipes.  The old sort might have been less efficient, but they went on for years with minimal maintenance.
We have had it so mild this winter, that there is a large flower bud about to open on my Magnolia grandiflora.  There is also a rose(golden showers) on the pergola.   The weather hasn't stopped the bugs from spreading. Mum had a cold, gave it to my husband when we went to see her last week. Now he's given it to me.
I'm dosed up on sudafed, paracetamol, ibuprofen, cough mixture and chicken soup. Hubby resorted to the medicinal whisky bottle, then complained that the coffee maker was too loud.   Roll on the sunshine.

    Evening all 😊
Lirio, hope you and the cats are keeping warm by the fire and the boiler man is good as his word tomorrow!
Finally sat down after marathon cooking session completion... Chicken and leek soup now made as well as all the rest, that should keep my evenings free for a few days!
    Hello BusyL, love Pavlova!! Mmmm!
Made one the other week when stepwomble and womble in law came to visit... Filled it with gooseberry fool topped with raspberries and lime zest.... Called it a Foolover 😂yummy!

    Evening all.
So much for "no overtime" !
Got home at 7pm and there was a car outside on our road with hazard lights on. I saw a boy and assumed he " needed to stop ". Still there 10 mins later so Hubby went out and they were waiting for RAC so they came in and had a cuppa.
They've just gone so I can have my dinner now.

    Devon.

Hello Forkers. I’ve just experienced a novel exercise - hanging washing on the line whilst being sprinkled on.😳 I assume the washing will still get dry eventually.

Think of it as an extra rinse cycle Pat 😀

Great day out yesterday exploring Highgate ......somewhere I’d never been before.  We were too late to be able to look round the cemetery.....another day perhaps.

Dentist this morning 😩. A temporary filling (put in a year ago) needs to be replaced with a permanent one, so will no doubt spend most of the day looking like a hamster 🐹
