That's good LP. May it continue to improve. Eyes too.
Hosta - let's hope the next lot are quieter.
FG - well done. It will be lovely to go walking any day you feel like it instead of hoping for suitable conditions at weekends.
Dove - how are you getting on with your homework?
OH has now gone down with the lurgy and I am at the ear popping and coughing stage. Not used to this. First cold since we moved here. A ray of sunshine has just lit up the living room but we'll be staying tucked up for the next couple of days apart from walkies.

Well done Fairy, my OH had to give 3 months notice and as the last part of their phased pay rise (first in 10 yrs) comes in April so she is not going till then. New year woes continue- changing a bulb on the cooker hood lights all fine, just gave the lens on the other one a wipe turned my back & guess what it dropped out of the holder and broke in two! Also discovered one of my water buts has a leak & is nearly empty. Not sue which annoys me more
Just finished my tax return . Because I didn't earn enough last year to pay tax, I have been surcharged for gift aiding the RHS subscription. I paid my NI because despite having 43 years full NI, I don't have enough for a full pension. I probably should have put this on the curmudgeon thread.
Despite it being Dry January I am having a glass of wine.
If we follow the trends, January is Vegan, alcohol free, and no leg hair shaving. I may as well slit my throat now.
Allotment Boy - best keep your hands to yourself for a while. You seem to be suffering from reverse Midas syndrome. What a pain.
Fidget - very frustrating for you too. Enjoy your wine. No dry January here either however Possum has decided to go vegan for January because she wants to lose weight. She'll be back here on the 25th and wants me to cook vegan for 6 days. Humph. Happy to cook vegetarian food but vegan will be a stretch. I bet she'd crack if I offer to do duck for a belated birthday dinner..........

My DIL & one of her children are Dairy intolerant so it is often easier for them to say they are vegan, especially when out, even though they eat meat & fish at home.
Quietly seething here. Came back from shopping to find yet another Amazon delivery van stuck on our drive, nose buried in the hedge and tyres buried in the drive. He had no breakdown/recovery cover or any money to pay for commercial recovery and almost no English.
5 hours later a posse of his workmates turned up in a couple of vans to help extract him and they have just left. Will wait for daylight to see how much damage has been done this time. Just to rub salt in the wounds he wasn't even delivering to us! That's the 8th time in a year with a few of the idiots claiming to have followed their satnav. Grrrr!
One thing I can guarantee is that there will be no meringues made with chick pea water in this house.
I feel like opening the box of serious dark fix from Hotel Chocolat. It needs eating this month to make way for their box of filled hearts for valentines day.
Nor here FB. We have a large box of Belgian chocolate "fruits de mer" which we are managing to resist so far but if you need to make space, you obviously need to tackle your dark fix.
